SOLD!

Yamaha BB1500a up for sale.

Cracking bass that feels and sounds way beyond it's value IMO.

Bought this bass fairly recently after searching for one for a while. I really like it but £ is tight & I've nothing else to sell :(
Made in the early 90's & still in great condition considering the age. After I bought it, I stripped it down as it needed a good clean. I also shielded to whole instrument, control cavity, battery cavity, pickup cavity. This go rid of the hum that I had experienced before.
I've had a few jazz basses in the past & this is by far the best I've owned. A lot of basschat / talk bass members rave about these & I would strongly agree with this. Kinda reminds me of a Sadowsky but with the added benefit of Mid control.
I really need cash at present as I need / want a Bergantino CN212 but if I can sort this without selling this bass, great!
Also has the original hardcase.

Controls are - Volume, pickup pan, bass, 3-position mid selector & treble. You can adjust frequencies internally as well. I've set these to centre at present as it sounds great as is.

Brand new set of DR High Beams fitted this week.

A few dings here and there ( see pics ) but nothing major. Back of the neck is fine.

Weight is around 8.7lbs

Had one of these for a while. Sounded amazing, really hi-fi, like a much more expensive bass. Pretty certain mine was made in Taiwan. The usual Yamaha quality, you can't go wrong. Only got rid because I wanted a more passive sound, but I do wish I'd kept it. Fabulous bass. If I had the spare cash, I'd have this no bother.

Great bass. Have a free bump.

I found the neck width at the nut on this to be just a bit wider than a Jazz, but still smaller than the typical P bass. This has been my experience with other Yamaha basses too. Very comfy neck though and great electronics.
