Bought in Aug from Bass Direct great condition best passive p I've had.
upgrades over the 424 are nickel silver nut, maple spline joints to the alder 3 pieces body. upgraded hotter pickups, heavy mass stainless bridge with brass saddles

Ah I see, makes sense now.

GAK offered me one brand new for 565. So very tempted but I'd have to shift out a 424X.

At that price new these are a steal. By far the best p bass ive played in 20 odd years (imho) so im looking for a ton off new price for nearly new. Cant be far off can I?
