de afwerking mk4-4++ - blablas has that building itch again

Recommended Posts

At the moment E, b, e - A, e, a, - D, a, d - G, d, g - This sounds really impressive even without the D string group.
I was a bit disappointed in tuning it in full octave mode, this tuning did not differ that much from the sound my 8 string produces.

incredible. would you play the strings in threes? (i.e. one "fretting finger" to cover low bass string and 2 adjacent higher strings at once) Obviously would love to see a video :-)

That's the purpose with this string layout.

Almost forgot the last build picture: Dated, numbered and signed.

I set the date at June because it was finished that month. Due to breaking two strings I needed to wait until just inside July before I received them.

Love seeing the end results of builds like this - do you have your collection out on display at home?

Not exactly on display, they are standing in racks and/or are hanging on wall hooks. :)

Good! I'd hate to think of them hidden away in cases! :)

The innovation and build quality of this leaves me speechless... I agree, with an earlier comment - sound clips! We need sound clips ;)

First I want to get a bit more comfortable playing this beast, but samples are planned.

I have to say that I thoroughly enjoyed seeing this being built on here. It looks outstandingly beautiful.

Big fan of a 12 ver and that is a thing of beauty ( as are all of your builds )

I'm sure it should also go onto 12 string bass

Look forward to a few sound samples and maybe a review of how it plays , neck size / dive weight ergonomics and comparison between your 8 string in terms of whether you find differences tonally

No pressure but wow another fabulous bass which I covet

Gary

Re-added the pictures.

Thanks for doing so. People should see this amazing work and, with a couple of builds planned, I use this forum as a reference library so it's great to have a thread like this fully illustrated again.
