Hmm, The cynic in me believes David Gilmour thinks he might sell more copies of his new solo album if he releases it under the Floyd banner! <_<

I think there are actually 2 albums.

One is a new Gilmour album, and then there's a Floyd album that was started in 1994 and features the late Richard Wright. It's mostly instrumental too, which sounds cool.

More exciting (for me), is the prospect of a new King Crimson album :) .

Yeah, because he really needs the money, doesn't he?

Seen her up close a few times, she's pretty hot!

Hurr. I'd get comfortably numb with her given the opportunity. Which I won't be. *Runs away before BC's women get here*

At least it has some Richard Wright on it, otherwise would it really be Floyd?

I believe it was recorded around the time of The Division Bell, which came out of Gilmour, Wright and Mason jams.

So yes, I think it does qualify as Floyd. If you think Floyd are Floyd without Roger, that is.

Tend to agree but then this isn't the worst tactic as I thought latter day Floyd was all about Gilmour anyway
and it would be a shame if he stopped playing live and playing Floyd numbers, IMO.
