Ha yeah ! :D The bass has Flats on at the moment but I'm thinking about about using rounds . I want as warm a sound as possible but with a bit of crunch , but minimal finger on string noise . The sound I hear in my head is James Jamerson crossed with JJ Burnel ( Nice'n'Sleazy ) Warm and Crunchy !!!!

I guess a lot of it is down to whichever Amp\Rig is being used . I only have a MB 150 combo at the moment , so that'll have to do

Thanks everybody :) So many strings , so little cash …. <_<

I'm after a warm , deep sound , without too much zing …….

Roto Nickel Rounds, once they`ve lost their initial newness are just like this. That`s why I used them for the past year or so. They also, once they`ve lost that initial newness, retain the rest of the sound for a long time.

You could try tapewounds. Don't let the nylon tape put you off, they have a wonderful rich depth, they're bright enough for most applications, very comfy and less zing than traditional rounds.
