So I see in the last few years Fender have tried using rolled edges on the finger board as a selling point. I really like this feature. I recently bought a 2004 USA Jazz Bass from Stingraybassman. It has rolled edges on the fretboard. My 2009 USA Strat also does. However I bought a 2008 USA P-Bass which doesn't have rolled edges. Like wise I went into a local store and tried a 2010 USA Jazz Bass which again doesn't have rolled edges. I Checked Fender's site and they're saying the basses have rolled edges. Did Fender remove this feature for a while? If so what years from and to? I just find it weird they'd keep it on the guitars and remove it from the basses. Is it perhaps more prominent on maple than rose wood? The Jazz I have is maple, the P-bass is rosewood and so is the strat and the Jazz I tried in the store was rosewood.
