MarkG3 Posted January 10, 2014 Share Posted January 10, 2014 I have now downsized from my Orange Terror Bass 1000 and Barefaced Super 12 to a................. Micro Ampeg CL stack! It came this morning and I played with it for about an hour and a half and I love it already. Was careful that I didn't whack it on loud just to give the speakers some chance of breaking in slowly. I'm no longer in a band so just playing at home so this is more than enough, haven't tried the aux input with my phone yet bit I will soon! Just don't choose Micro-CL for the new username Great looking rig, i never got on with ampeg's sound but for me they are the prettiest pieces of gear out there. MarkG3 Posted January 10, 2014 Author Share Posted January 10, 2014 probably but to me it's a full stack, purposely to block any GAS of another 2x10 But the head can only run at 8ohms and the cab is 8ohms so no chance of adding another cab, which I really don't need for what I want I originally was looking at the Micro VR as it could take 2 2x10s and I thought it would look really good having them side by side with the head in the middle of them but I thought as good as that would be I don't need two cabs or an extra 100 watts or spend another £200! But the CL is tons more cute than the pic I saw of it locally. I think it may look better than the VR. Thanks for the info. Hadn't realised about one being 4 Ohm and the other 8 Ohm. Not that I think it's important for home use. All we now need is a pic of your miking up the thing that is on top!
