funkyspuke
Jealous me ? You bet your arse i am,stunning bass. I'm going over to Alpher on monday to get the pre on my Esh swapped for a John Eash jobbie. I wonder if i will be forced to place an order for something
They have this way of 'making' you order something rather than 'forcing' .. I think it's whatever they put in the tea/coffee they offer you instantly on arrival haha!

Mind you if they hadn't utterly aced the frets on my wick I might have been tempted by other basses....
mixingwithtom
This looks wicked! Any chance of some more pics of back of neck, was it literally 1pce ebony? Does it have any neck dive, I'd imagine that to be a heavy neck!? Fab ideas and execution

Fab ideas and execution
Hey This is indeed a one piece ebony neck This particular piece is no heavier than a wenge neck so there are no balance issues. Also we use hipshot ultralite tuners and we have a relatively small headstock which all help. I will try and get some more pics up soon Cheers Chris
Jellyfish
Man, this makes me incredibly excited for my own build, despite it not looking anything like this. Congrats' on the finished item.
4 Strings
Reeeeally Nice! I must admit, the spec sounded a bit stealth/matt black for me, but the result is beautiful. Subtle and balanced. I also really like the scratch plate and the curvy bit in the head. Well done, also please it plays so well!
funkyspuke
Thanks for the great comments I couldn't be happier with the outcome to be honest. There are a couple of live videos that I'm hoping to have sent by Chris of me playing it .. I'll post em on here very soon
artisan
I had the pleasure of having a quick play on this bass on monday & it is absolutley fooking gorgeous, the pics look good but in the flesh it is a masterpeice. It plays beautifully too,no neck dive & infact it isn't a heavy bass either. Its true what was said about the Alpher guys though,Chris "made"me buy a bass from him,i had no choice in the matter Edited September 26, 2013 by artisan
