Is this a standard feature on this bass or a custom option? I know you can request fret markers/blocks etc but you dont see many about with them. Its not that expensive to ask them for it. I think almost all Sandbergs are custom orders, so to speak, as in a dealer or customer specs it, they build it, bit like Musicman. The recent prices I've seen from Synergy (Alan) are pretty damn good. I agree the new knobs look pretty cool. Nice bass! How close to a P bass is it? In passive w/ the tone control? Dots and blocks are "standard" options, but a chargeable option nevertheless. If you wanted some sort of unusual inlays, that would be a proper custom option. franzbassist Posted November 12, 2012 Author Share Posted November 12, 2012 First rehearsal tonight and I must say it sounded terrific. I tried lots of different settings through the evening, to really put it through its paces, and it was great. Run passive with the neck pickup solo and it did authentic P bass, dial in a bit of J for extra bite, and then kick in the actives for real top end slice and bass punch. The neck's really nice too - flat fingerboard and a nice flattened D shape profile. I don't like the Sandberg strings much, but I'll be putting Lakland flats on soon anyway....
