Cosmo Valdemar
I would definitely suggest you go for the Overwater because you already have the Yamaha.
pete bigmatch
Yes that would be nice but sadly no It is more of an either or question
KiOgon
Stick with the Yamaha & save up until you can afford a proper bass not one churned out of a factory in China, it's only gas
Sean
^ this. The TRB1005 could well turn out to be better than the Tanglewood and that would be gutting.
Machines
I've had a Tanglewater Contemporary J5, it was good but I wouldn't think much of an improvement over a Yamaha TRB.
Chris Horton
Those TRB 1005's are fantastic instruments for the money !!! I'd keep it
Ruck
Atleast Yamaha have their own Factory, quality control and assessment where as alot of "budget" basses are produced all by one factory. Not entirely sure how true that is but I believe Samick used to make alot of guitars for alot of well known brands
Horizontalste
I'd stick with the TRB, purely because I think we are spoilt for choice. It's taken alot of money and about a decade for me to discover that if you find a bass that works for you, you can create your own sound/ style. Rather than following trends.
