  1. The ashdowns is a mibass 1 x 12 at £249 The genz bens is a focus 1 x 12 at £207 Not a great deal between them so just want the best option.
  2. Looking to buy a mini rig which will consist of two 1x12 cabs and a small / micro head. Thinking about the Genz Benz focus or the Ashdown mibass. The head of choice will be the ashdown mibass 220. Also have the ashdown superfly which I will keep as a backup and might use every now and again. So what are your thoughts on the choice of cabs (not the superfly , I like it anyway )
  3. Would you split the cabs might be interested in the Phil jones cabs I have just acquired an ashdown superfly and was thinking about the pjb 4 or 6 cabs Have you used the with the superfly if so what was they like Anyway good look with through sale , they should fly on here
  4. Just got an ashdown superfly and 2 cab off eBay ,both ashdown a 1/15 and a 2/10. £300 bargain I thought Where you gonna put them big ugly things, they won't go in that room with all your other junk? (says the misses on arrival home with my new found spoils) So my question is , what cab/cabs would you go for? I was thinking of the barefaced compact of midget or both ( I wish ) Or a couple of the phill jones bass cabs ( also open to suggestion ) The amp head has 2 x 250 watt sockets at 4 ohms Will either of these options ok without damaging the head ,or what would you go for? Can't get my head around the ohms thingy to work it out safely
  5. Thanks for the comments , all are welcomed and each of you have a valid point. Just to make it a little clearer, I have been playing on and off for a few years and had a few different amps but now would like something a little more special. In house i have an Ashdown perfect ten mini stack and a line 6 bass pod xt live floor pedal. I have a summer house at the bottom of the garden (16 foot x 12 foot ) which is where I intend to be playing/practicing . Hope this helps a little Please keep the comments coming
  6. Looking to buy a new amp and cab to go with my Yamaha trb 1005 (which could be changing) I will not be gigging as only intend to play at home. Listening to Nathan watts (stevie wonder) - John deacon (queen) Will have around the £1000-1500 to spend So What would you go for ?
