Bloody drummers. You cant even trust their Dads either now. Tsk tsk!

Lol. That is quite funny, even speaking as a drummer.

Can see this coming up as a plot line for Silent Witness!

Tell you what, Emilia Fox can cut me up any day lol. :gas: (not in her car though, that would just be annoying).

Why not? It's the only sure thing in life.

Happens to us all etc etc.

+1.

Ahh, that must be it. Apologies for being so serious. After all, we didn't know the dead person so it's all fine.

Glad you have come round to our way of thinking :)

I would suggest it's a reaction to the rather ridiculous nature of the thread, Nige. That said, we can't even have RIP threads without dividing opinion, so perhaps this was doomed from the start.

Anyway, we all have to die, Nige; I'm going to attempt to make light out of it, in the hope that I can convince myself it's no big deal, so I can avoid blubbing on my death bed.

Which I'll still do, knowing me.

Don't you have to be dead, biologically, for that transaction to complete?

I was kinda hoping they'd upload my brain to the interwebs, or something sci-fi, prior to skipping off the mortal coil. As we all know that the interwebz are only ever used for pron, this seems like the ideal outcome for an inquisitive (albeit body-less) mind.

Not necessarily....Statistically you are not certain to die, after all, less than 100% of humnas that have ever lived have died.......yet....

I don't bloody know, obviously I'm confused enough as it is... and the trouble with achieving immortality on teh interwebs is, when the balloon goes up (around 2015) and there's no power left, it's Goodnight Vienna basically, isn't it?

Unless we can all store our minds on a solar-powered satellite eternally orbiting the sun. Or something. What difference does it make, really? You might as well be a banana. Or a pixie. Or dead.
