It's a beauty. Not sure about the control knobs... they look cool in the pictures, not so good up in the flesh but an amazing instrument all the same. The only collection of Marleauxs I have seen have been at the Bass Day in Manchester... [/quote] Very true - the trouble is now, with so many bass designs out there, it's becoming increasingly difficult to come up with something that looks radically different to those basses that have already been created! Originality is becoming increasingly difficult, especially when you have to build in the characterists of what makes a bass balance and comfortable (e.g. strap fixing point and hence usually the top horn, above the 12th fret).
