Can be great (e.g. Grand Wazoo's Cow Bass link) no pics anymore I'm afraid.

But can be awful (e.g. cack handed relicing)
The body of your bass looks like a drawing. Pretty cool if it looks like that normally. :)

I thought the Eden Metro was a great combo? I've never tried one myself, but they appear to get a lot of love.
I've had my combo for just over 3 years now & it's never let me down. There's one or two for sale on here for @ £650.
well it's maybe a bit darker than that normally but pretty much yeah. The problem with it is that it's bloody HEAVY! Unlike the Markbass which is much lighter.

Now that's the kind of cosmetic mod that I like - an elegant lady reclining tastefully - where do you get them - stickers that is!!

Personally, I wouldn't touch the paintwork on my bass, mainly due to fear of properly screwing it up. However, I think a change from the factory finish can be a very good thing; you have something truly custom/unique, but i'd leave it to someone who knows what they're doing. Actually thinking about it, if I had the space / tools / time, I might have a go with a cheap bass.

Get mine as decals from Hectic Hillbilly: http://www.hectic-hillbilly.co.uk/hectic_h...itar_decals.htm

It all depends on your artistic skills. I believe it to be a good idea to give a guitar to an artist as a challenge, rather than f***ing about with it without a clue. A good artist will make a sketch - you can take a photo, photoshop it... Worth talking to your local gallery, or elsewhere seeking somebody who is a good graphic designer or visual artist rather than "it has to look like me".

Thing is most stickers really look like kids on drugs put them on - and most of the time, that's how it is. Now we all know that drugs can, but need not, improve your artistic side... never mind judgement.
