barry44 Posted February 20, 2008 Share Posted February 20, 2008 Hi, we have recorded a cd of our tunes and have sold a healthy amount at gigs, etc. We are now looking to employ someone to distribute our music in digital form throughout the various digital stores, itunes, etc... Can anyone recommend a company which would be able to do this for us? We have been looking and are interested in using a company called ISA who are based in Glasgow and take a paymernt of £30 per cd and pay out 80% of the sales. Musky Posted December 18, 2008 Share Posted December 18, 2008 The deal from ISA doesn't seem that great - they charge about the same as Tunecore and CDBaby but take more in royalties. It's always worth looking into the details though, as you can get hit with annual charges with some distributors. I read recently that ReverbNation have started what on the face of it is an extremely competitive distribution service. Ultimately the one you choose depends on how much you expect to sell and how long you want it up there. CDBaby could be a good choice for you as you've got a physical CD.
