Seeing is believing, here. this was my last ever thread that caused all that "Lloyd Cole"[sub] (& the Commotion for those of you who don't remember who they were)[/sub]
Insane moderation, maybe its a blessing I haven't been 'approved'. Re: Ol' Lloyd and the boys, massive fan of old, love Lawrence Donegan who was a tasteful, effective player (toted a Jazz as I recall) and My Bag is one of my fave pop basslines. He then went on to become a not too shabby journo and writer, 'Four Iron in the Soul' is a great read. Lloyd had good taste in musicians, played with the late, great Bob Quine when he went solo later on.

Minor update - now in touch with S&T who I expect will be great to deal with, but I have stipulated that I expect replacements for high end basses such as these not being to spec. The damage could have happened at any point in delivery, and strangely they dont seem concerned about that.

The cases are hardcases, but I think putting a cardboard box over a hardcase a little worrying because you want the case to also turn up brand new! Darren @ BM bubbles everything but before that, it was just one box, case inside, bass in case. No padding.

Probably not concerned because they'll be covered for any damage in transit.

Normally the weight of a guitar is a risk you take when ordering unseen but I reckon because you're a good customer to all three companies involved, they'll take the sterling back and change it for you.
I'd also bet that S&T didn't even mention the weight when ordering. Even if they did I very much doubt EBMM would take any notice.

My Big Al arrived this morning!! Absolutely over the moon with it. Haven't had chance to have a proper sit down with it yet, but first impressions are that the body is smaller than I expected and it is also lighter than expected - both of which suit me fine. Just flicking through the tones and pickups and I can't get a bad sound out of it - the 4-band eq is lovely and although very effective, surprisingly subtle. Can't wait to spend a bit more time with it :)

Hi Gareth.
Ive only just noticed all this (i dont spend as much time on here these days). I'm really gutted for you. After such a long wait and spending all that money i would be very upset.

Im going to read the EBMM thread later but i hope you get this all resolved as soon as possible. IMO Its all very well having good customer service in getting this rectified but it shouldn't have happened in the first place.

@Grand Wazoo. when i was over on the EBMM forums last year you seemed quite high profile over on there. I didnt realise you were banned. I would never have expect it.

Don't remind me, I am still losing sleep over it. I've had to take counselling to overcome suicidal tendencies, and worst of all, Ive been forced to take viagra cause I couldn't get it up no more for a few months.

As if! HAHAHA :) :) :D

From what I've seen it's not been a good year so far for you bud, sorry for you really am.

I'm the same really, this year has been kind of poo so far and won't get much better, this is certainly taking my mind off things. Can't wait to use it with my amp cranked!

Try and get pics on tomorrow as I have 1/2 a day off.
