1. I'd look at doing the above if weight is that important to you. The tuners and bridge will make a bigger weight difference than the knobs, and they are a lot easier to source by the sounds of it.
2. Dislike fuzz greatly. Love distortion and Overdrives though, and bit crushers do well too. I guess I haven't found the fuzz for me really.
3. After a money scare recent this went up for sale, but something else is sold and I get to keep this. Still does the round at rehearsals. The 33" scale and the weight make for long playing periods an absolute breeze. I will be changing the passive wiring that Alan prescribes to the traditional Vol, Vol and Tone. The rotary system is nice but something about either or systems bug me. And series switching isn't my thing at all.
4. My other bass sold and as such this is staying (yes!!)

6. Any pedal like the Sansamp para driver or dark glass vintage deluxe plugged into the effects return on the OTB sounds 10000 times better than going into the front of amp. Bypass the wooly preamp, and you get 500watts of thunder with your choice or EQ and drive.
7. I wouldn't mind one of those inca silver bent jazzes they make with a matchup my headstock.
8.
Ported and sealed cabs have different strengths and sounds, so as the site says Alex is building a "hybrid enclosure which sounds and feels like a sealed cab but can play loud and bring the thunder like a ported cab". Pointless? How do we more about this than Alex?
Don't get me wrong that sounds great but it's not definite weather it's a ported can I don't think. Regardless it sounds like good premise and despite my previous excellent experience with my Super Compact I think I will wait for actual user verdicts
9.
The Retro Two10, as described on the BF website, is a ported cab that is made to sound like a sealed cab. At a guess it'll look like the majority of all other cabs, a rectangular black box...doesn't make for exciting photography IMO, so no need for pictures of it really.
Tbf there is a bit of conjecture over this as the site isn't clear what it is and I'm sure I read the words "passive radiator" Although if it is as you said, seems rather pointless making a ported cab sound sealed, just make it sealed no?
10.
Great basses - care to share pics of the back?
Updated
11. I'd like to know what the actual design is.

13. At the second hand price of some arays and sterling silver they aren't to be sniffed at. Will the better finish, oiled neck, body contours, and mid EQ be worth it? It's all down to taste. I went from a U.S. SUB to a Ray and I thought so.

15. Came off a P bass, a little wear but in great condition, comes with mounting screws. It's string-thru so has 3 mounting screws and 4 string holes but I do believe it can still be fitted to a non string-thru bass just fine, but I might be wrong. £15 posted.
16.
Please don't...
Haha I don't mean too, I'd rather keep it which is why there will not be any "price drops" on this.
