1. I've bought a bass and sold two cabs on basschat and not once as gift been bought into it. It's always been straight paypal. So i think it's a little unfair to make it seem like gifts is prevalent. i am quite pissed now tho!

 6.
Don't Damn Me - Guns 'n Roses, something about that song that does things to me. Never found anyone else capable of pulling off the main riff though.....
I love the breakdown in that song when it drops to bass and drums. Also the lyrics are quality.
 7. I'm struggling. been looking since August for one for my originals band. One didn't have transport. One could barely rehearse. One joined then the week later said couldn't handle the commitment. Then our singer found someone who will help us out til we can find someone permanent, Now our singer has nodules on her vocal chords. So now the guitarist and I have no drummer or singer(temp). So we are gonna do a side project in the meantime. guess what? Need to find a drummer!

 11.
It would be an honour mr sausage. Have a good old tour matey.
Thank you kindly good sir!
 12.
You are very lucky. Most companies use stock fretted nuts on their fretless basses which is terrible news. That there is what a fretless nutt should look like. As with any instrument, fretted or fretless, the amount of pressure needed to fret at the 1st fret should the bare minimum without buzzing. Ideally a fretless should take off from the end of the fingerboard but that is the absolute ideal and rarely works out quite that way.
Thank you very much John. My next bass purchase will be off you. When i come off tour later this year hopefully i will have enough spare cash to get one of you works of art.
 13. It sounds good, but there is a bit of rattle on the B and a bit sitar-y sounding on the G
 14. Hi, i ain't very technically minded, so forgive terminology and stupid questions but.... i ordered an ESP 5 string fretless of Thomann 2 weeks ago and it came today. I immediately noticed the nut. The grooves in the nut were the strings go seem to have been cut to deep. To the point were the string, especially the B, is practically or is sitting on the fingerboard. This isn't good, right? I think i need to send it back, here are some pics so you can reassure and advise me please. Your help woul dbe greatly appreciated. 15. Right so we're agreed then. Nobody do anything musically unless it the height of artistic and musical expression. If you aren't doing anything to advance your career or to play with others then just don't do it. No enjoying yourself. No playing your instruments just for something to do. And definitely no recording of yourself playing along to anything. Don't play covers. We only want the purest, form of original music.
 16.
Anyone that even half know me,knows why I find this amusing
And everyone else will find this condescending!
 17.
Players and coaching staff use the 'we' to refer to the club as a whole, including the fans. A Football club is a club, without the fans it would be nothing. Fans are very much a part of it, and contribute to it's continued existence. Ask any sport psychologist the importance of crowd support.
This!
 18. I don't know if it's still the same, but a mate got in 10 years ago by doing a Phd over there and Teaching!
 19. Is it me or is there a lot of meanness on BC this yr? Since the start of the year there has been a few 'Most hateful threads (quotes, songs etc). Criticising people for Youtube vids, other critical threads. Now this, criticising for terminology and use of words..f*** me this is sad. I'm sure BC not always been this bad!
 20. God there's some miserable bastards on here. Can't people just enjoy themselves. Surely the initial point of Youtube was to share your own video's with people. It's not like everyone is trying to do their own Mona Lisa.
 21. Excellent! Well done fella! Good Luck!
 22.
I don't know if it's a matter organisation. A lot of people don't want the hassle and expense of posting the scores out to the various musicians, especially when it's generally expected that they can read well enough o do the gig anyway. I've rarely had to read piano scores as well....the only time I have is when an Am Dram company is doing a compilation show and they just photocopy a piano reduction to give to everyone. It is annoying when you get them though.
I know an incredible guitarist who demands pads a couple of weeks before the show. When i last did a show with him which featured Kerry Ellis who works with Brian May he blew her away with his playing. Anyway he says you can have it good with a first time read or incredible because i know it inside out and can apply all the nuances. He always gets the pad!
 23.
Kills me that to. I do 6 or 7 am dram shows a year, always get the part 5 to 6 weeks in advance. And you won't get to do You're the One That I Want in Grease. The publishers are very, very hot on changing the stage script to the movie version, and when you sign the contract to do the show there's whole pages on what you're not allowed to do!
Yeah when i did it we couldn't do that!
 24.
You've been very lucky then if you get them weeks in advance. Literally every show I've done, I've not seen the pad until the first band call.
Luck or i've just worked with more organised MD's. Don't get me wrong, I've had a couple where you get it just before or when you get there. A lot of the time it's friggin piano score has well so your reading 12 lines below. Which frankly pisses me off!
