I'm not greatly sure of the weight, I'm guessing it's between 7.5 lbs to 8 lbs.

    *SOLD*

Hey guys, So this is the Precision that changed my opinion on them and it really is a great bass but unfortunately my jazzes and my Streamer are getting the most usage and I feel bad just seeing it sat there on a stand. I got this from Rasta a few months ago, who by the way is an absolute gent, and as such was kind enough to reinstall the original pick ups to complete the bass, he also managed to find a period correct bridge and an aftermarket tortoise shell pickguard which I think looks nice. So as such the bass is 80% original, the control knobs, strap buttons and bridge are non-original but still look good, but the body: neck, machine heads, pick ups and electronics are all original and it also has the original faded white pickguard too. But as expected for a used bass close to 30 years old it's got a bit of mojo which personally I think looks cool and doesn't affect the playability of this bass at all, if anything it adds to it. The neck is nice and worn but still nice and clean and the finish still has a nice flame to it still. I've tried to show as much of the dings and scratches as possible in the pics and though some might be scary I still think they add to the look of the bass. Pics: Serial number: JV40478 Hopefully that makes a few things clearer. This is by no means a mint condition bass but it has been used and it still works absolutely fine, it could benefit from a proper set up but I've had no problems with it all. It's got a nice action which is low but every note rings out nice and clearly and it's a good weight too. The tone of this bass is fantastic, having never been one for Precisions originally the sound of this one legitimately blew me away. It's warm and growly which is perfect for funk/soul/motown and just bringing up the tone it is great for punk and rock. SOLD Any other info please just ask Thanks, Josh. P.S. GONE.

Hey Guys, Sorry for the late reply but I'll answer both your pms now, for what this bass is worth which is nothing I really don't want to have to send it I'm afraid, I haven't got any spare gig bags or cases or a spare box to send the bass in. Sorry guys, as I said originally I would prefer a collection. Josh.
Maybe my Warwick SN Dolphin, on the forum here: http://basschat.co.uk/topic/171265-warwick-dolphin-sn-4-string/page__p__1587488__hl__dolphin__fromsearch__1#entry1587488
Thanks for the offer but I'm not a fan of the Dolphins :/
  12. Hey guys, This hasn't been getting much use at all lately so I'd rather someone else was making use out of this great bass. This is my first Stingray and it's been great, I got in time for my studies of Louis Johnson and Bernard Edwards at Uni and did a great job when it came to playing their lines. It's a 2005 model and the serial number is: E46988. The bass has been played and gigged a lot by the original owner and has picked up some dings along the way and has some buckle rash on the back, all of which do not affect the playability of the bass at all. The electronics work perfectly and the neck feels nice and worn in. Pics: I tried my best to show the buckle rash and dings but if anyone would like some more pics I can happily sort some out Price: SOLD Trade Bait: Marcus Miller Jazz USA Jazz's Fender Deluxe P's or J's Spector Rebop/Euro 4 or 5 Lakland 44/55-02 Yamaha TRB's Or try me The bass will come with a official MM hardcase which is a little battered but still works perfectly fine Thanks, Josh.
  13. After years of not quite understanding why Precisions get the love and admiration that they do, as of last Saturday I can now safely say that I get it All courtesy of a 83 Squire JV Precision which both sounds and looks fantastic!

    TRADED.

Hey Guys, This is mostly a feeler just to see what kind of offers I can get, as this is a great bass and I'm happy to keep it but it's been neglected a fair bit recently. I bought this from Eubassix back in October and I really do see why people rave on about these basses, the looks and the playability and the available tones are just amazing. Though as documented in Dave's original thread which can be found here: http://basschat.co.u...__fromsearch__1 there is a sizable ding on the bass which happened during the postage, but Dave actually glued the chip before he posted it to me and I think he's done a really good job with it. It is noticeable when you run your finger over it but honestly the amount of times I've told people about it and they've said they haven't been able to spot it, I even forget about it most of the time. Other than that the rest of the bass is in great condition and everything works perfectly fine Pics: And the repaired ding: Specs:

Nut Width: 1.5”
Nut Type: Delrin
Fret Size: .041/.085”
Width at Final Fret: 2.5”
1st Fret Neck Depth: .77”
12th Fret Neck Depth: .92”
Fingerboard Radius: 7.25”
Scale Length: 34”
Frets: 21
Bridge String Spacing .75”
Neck Wood: Flat-Sawn Maple
Body wood: Swamp Ash
Fingerboard: Maple with Block Inlays
Tuners: Hipshot Design
Truss Rod Access At Neck Heel -- 5/32" Hex
Pickguard: White
Controls: Volume/Volume/Tone (Passive)
Bridge: Lakland Dual-Design Bridge
Pickups: Aero Single Coil
Finish: Lake Placid Blue
TRADED!! Thanks, Josh.

    My current stable:
  19. I had a brilliant 44-02 a couple of years ago which I really do regret letting go of. They're the perfect Swiss army knife bass if you'll accept that analogy, as in they're more than capable in all genres. Seeing as you have the MM humbucker and a single coil to play with, you have a massive array of tones available as well as the option to change the mid frequency via the control cavity. I honestly think they're brilliant basses and everyone should have or at least try one at some point.
