I forgot to mention that I can add money to a deal as well I've got some work coming my way which may require me to have a bit more of a precision tone so for the first time in ever I'm actually interested in trading for a precision.

Hey Guys, This is a great bass and it has a great preamp but I would prefer something different as I've alread got a JO5 and it generally tend to play that one more. Just a quick picture until I take a few more later (It's the middle one): This bass has been really well looked after by it's previous owner and as said it has been upgraded with a Audere JZ 3 active preamp, more information on the Audere can be found here at [url="http://www.audereaudio.com/JZ3.htm"]http://www.audereaudio.com/JZ3.htm[/url] The bass will come with a Hiscox hardcase which is also in great condition too. Hey Mark, It's got the 3 way Z mode switch. I've switched through all 3 constantly and it's persistently there, I've also adjusted the gain controls too and again it is still there. I don't like having a preamp that you can't ever leave on one setting when you want to play it and get frustrated with it, whereas my other Lakland's it's never a problem.

Hey guys, I've recently aqquired another Lakland JO5 in a trade, and it's come with a Audere JZ3 preamp installed. Having read a couple of reviews I thought I had a good idea of what I tones I should be able to achieve. However, I generally like to play with my mids and treble cut and maybe a little bit added on via my GK MB200 when needs be, but with my 2 other Laklands and my Streamer I traded for this, I can always get the nice smooth warm tone which is what i tend to play with. But even when I've cut both the mids and treble on the bass and on the head, there is still a distinct mid and treble presence and I'm not getting on with it as it ruins any smooth tone I'm trying to achieve. Is this common of the Audere or is it because of the stock passive Lakland picks ups? Thanks guys, Josh.

Was just about to update the main post as I collected it from Waghorn Guitars in Bristol today and problem was a very easy fix. The electronics now work perfectly fine

[/quote] It was before they became known as LX models, it says Stage 1 Bolt On on the truss rod cover. It's a 97/98 model, I'll need to check the serial when I get back.

Hey Guys, I've had this for a good few months now and it's a great bass, warm sounding with that traditional Warwick growl. *The electronics are fixed and work perfectly* The bass is in great working condition for a 10+ years old bass. I'm only looking to move it on as I've developed a taste for Laklands and I've been using a Stingray every day since I've been out here and I've kind of taken to it.
