1. Hey all, I've had this combo for just over two years now and it's been great but it is now surplus to requirements. There are a couple of problems with it though, ever since I've had it there has been a slight buzz and recently it seems to have developed a loose connection somewhere as it cuts out a little but a tap to the back seems to sort it out. It's only left the house a couple of times but has never been played loud in anger. There is also a slight cosmetic issue due to an old vocalist leaving his straighteners that he thought he had switched off balanced on top of the amp and as such melted the plastic. Aside from the issues listed above the amp is in pretty good condition. Pics: Specs can be found here: http://www.ampeg.com.../bassamp/ba115/ Price: £60 collection only due to the size and weight. Thanks guys, Josh.
  2. I've just completed a trade for Duncan's LMII and it went nice and smoothly with great communications throughout Thanks again Duncan!
  3.
the kingbass dream has taken a step back for the moment... ive started work on my old bmw project which is looking good so far by the way
Really? After all of those threads?
  4.
This is a cracking price for a great amp, can't believe it's still here.
It'll be on it's way to me soon
  5. Hey guys, I had been intrigued by this bass after I saw one in PMT in Bristol and always fancied one. Having got a CV jazz already, I knew what to expect in terms of sound and playability, and along with the colour and matching headstock combo it was a no brainer. But I was fortunate to buy a Ashdown ABM 8x10 for a bargain £75 the other week and unfortunately my GK head resides in Bristol at our rehearsal studio, so as such I've got a 8x10 which I'm yet to play through. I'm hoping to either trade for a good head or fund one, that it is the only reason as to why I'm moving this bass on. I've bought this bass from new and I've upgraded the high-mass bridge with a Hipshot B-Style bridge which has helped in being able to achieve a nice low action as well a pleasing aesthetic. There is one smallish dent which was a result of a lead being whipped up to quick, but other than that it is still brand new. Pics: Price: SOLD. Trades: As mentioned above, ideally I would like to trade for a decent head and could add some cash to a deal. I'm open to other bass offers but they aren't my priority right now. Thanks, Josh.
  6. Don't waste your petrol with going to the shop in Taunton, you'll be lucky if they have more than 4 basses. As for Bridgwater, we have Strings & Things which is more or less the same. PMT and Mickelburghs in Bristol are probably more for you.
  7.
Just caught up with this... I bought a Squier jazz from Marcus a few years back - I'd say a King bass suits him fine - seemed apparent to me the guy can play. And clear he's optimising the market to get back to what he lost. It's a traders forum. Give the guy a break
It's all well and good trading and selling like there's no tomorrow, I know a lot of us are all guilty of that, my count must be at 60+ basses ranging from £100 to £4500. But to start a bunch of threads and post in every possible related thread about how much you love that instrument and how it's "the one" and to be over the moon with it when you finally get it only to then put it back up for sale within days because you fancy something else and thus a subsequent thread follows...it gets a bit silly really. We all know what will happen if Marcus is fortunate enough to get another Kingbass, and that is probably to put it up for sale and hoping to move on to an Alembic MK signature, which would require selling everything he owns including his car. Sorry for the nihilistic tone but its like when a girl completely leads you on.
  8.
I have to agree with this - unfortunately I wasn't chosen. I had a Kingbass for about 5 minutes and really couldn't get on with it. It was the fastest sale of an instrument I've ever I've ever made I do know people that love these though - a real marmite bass if ever there was one.
+1 Barrie. I had mine for a few months and it was a nice bass but ultimately it felt like a toy and it lacked any character when compared to a Jazz or a Warwick. That and you fall in to the potential pitfall of becoming a Mark King clone. I don't think I've ever seen one played by someone who isn't ripping off MK licks or playing Level 42 profusely.
The Kingbass artist mk1 is perfect for me alongside my old jaydee, and when a bass fits I wouldn't sell.
Unless you have to sell it for something else right?
  9. I've just sold Huw my CIJ jazz and he happily provided me with a hardcase and a box to post it back to him. Great communications throughout and nice guy in general
  10. Hey guys, My GK 700RB has been playing up as of late and I think it really needs to be checked out, so does anyone know of any good people to take the GK to in Bristol? Thanks, Josh.

  12.
So wait....is this still for sale?
For the moment yes, I've haven't had a definite yes yet.

    Jazz
Aaah, I just LOVE lake placid blue!
One of the main reasons why I went for it And now I've found it to be an amazing jazz for the money as well.
  14.
Does that mean it would be unusably low if I put a standard bbt style bridge on it?
The shim can easily be removed, I only had it done because the action wasn't low enough for me above the 12th fret and it's not that drastic of a shim either.
  15.
This is a beaut!.....Shame about the Badass though....Might come knocking for this if my Dingwall shifts
I had to get the neck shimmed because of the BA2 :/
  16.
Have you got any friends/relatives heading north of Brum in the near future? Is there a case or gigbag with it?
I'm afraid not mate :/
  17. I've bumped this back up as for sale due to a looming Uni payment :/

    Jazz

NBD for me, a Squier James Johnston jazz:
  19.
ooh now this is pretty. I had a ornginal 61 Jazzmaster a few years ago which looked just like this (refin headstock) Is the finish nitro ?
It's just a regular gloss finish I think mate.
  20.
Dude, you need to put a trade price on this honey of a Jazz. What's the colour? Cream? Shell Pink? Hard to tell from the pics. What's the action on the E at the 12th? Fret wear? I had one of these in CAR, a really lovely bass.
I've amended the ad, but I wasn't aware we had to now include the height of the action.
  21. Hey guys, This purely a feeler to see if I can possibly find the right bass. The Warwick/Spector bug is biting again so preferably I would like to trade for either one of those, but I'm more than happy to hold on to this bass if I don't get any offers. I got this recently from Gazwills and it really is a great jazz. It is a limited run in which the Badass 2 came fitted as standard and along with US pickups and the finish and matching headstock. The bass was bought from Far East Guitars in early 2011. Pics: The colour is probably best described as aged cream white. Condition wise it's in great condition, there is a very minor ding on the headstock which can be seen above. There is no discernible fretware at all. I've recently had the bass checked over and the neck shimmed by Waghorn Guitars in Bristol. It plays amazingly well and it sounds as good as it looks. The action is nice and low with plenty of room to go either way. Price: SOLD. Trade Bait: The trade value on this is about £600-£650. As said at the top, I'm specifically interested in Warwicks and Spectors, even more specifically: Spector Euro 4/5 String Warwick Thumb BO 4/5 String Warwick Streamer Stage 1, Pro M, LX 4/5 String I can add some money for the right deal too. Thanks, Josh.
