1. Hi Kevin, looks like Ashdown have updated their website and removed some products so the links in my original post aren't working any more. The 210h is 24.1kg. The 115h is 25.1kg. I hope that helps!
2. I recently sold my Ashdown MK500 amp to Alan. Lovely chap to deal with - we had a great chat about all things amplification during a phone call to discuss the Ashdown. After deciding he wanted to buy the amp, he was extremely quick to pay - and even gave some useful advice on a courier to use based on his experience with those best at finding him! I hope you have many enjoyable gigs with the amp!
3. I love the look of this case. What catches my eye is the boot - not for its advertised protection of the bass during a vertical drop (can't imagine a situation where I'd ever drop it like that), rather it looks like it'd be particularly hard-wearing. Can anyone answer one question: does it have the 'clip-tuck' straps of the M80? I only ever use the handle - straps aren't for me so I'd prefer they were out of the way or didn't exist.
4. Up for sale are my Ashdown Neo cabs. Great tones, volume and looks : [s]MK500 head[/s] no longer available Neo 210h cab: [s]£300[/s] £250 collected (or meet within reasonable distance of Southampton) Neo 115h compact cab (nb this links to the full size 115 cab... I don't think Ashdown ever listed the compact version on their site. Everything is the same except the cab size): [s]£300[/s] £250 collected (or meet within reasonable distance of Southampton) Both cabs come complete with Ashdown vinyl covers. A Lava cable connects the two cabs (see back image). Everything's in really good condition. For payment I'm happy with cash, bank transfer or Paypal gift. Any questions, just ask. SOLD

Many thanks for the interest. All gone now!
6. Bought a Thumb NT 5 from papawookie last week. Extremely nice guy to deal with and we had a very enjoyable chat about the history of the bass. Very happy with my new acquisition, Paul - thanks for making it easy
7. Jon, that's awesome. Just what I was looking for. Thanks very much for the link.
8. I've had an idea of an artwork finish I'd like for a bass. A full body piece of artwork with a high gloss finish. I'm thinking along the lines of the Ritter Simpson bass or the Warwick T.M. Stevens signature bass. I like the idea of getting one of my existing basses refinished. So the existing body stripped down to bare wood, then working up from that. As I'd consider my own DIY skills 'poor', I'd intend to pay for it to be professionally done. Can anyone recommend a good person/company for the task? And/or link me up to any relevant forum threads (obviously I'm having a good search but don't want to miss anything)? And/or share any personal experiences along these lines? As the idea is still in an embryonic stage, I'm not ruling out the possibility of integrating LEDs (and appropriate electronics) into the body which would obviously involve body routing. It's not a definite, just a thought - but, again, any ideas/experiences anyone could share would be gratefully taken on board. Ideally I'm looking for a UK-based outfit that I could visit to discuss and cost the project up. Even more ideally, they'd be based in the South of England (I'm in Southampton). Thanks in advance!
9. Just bought a Boss GT-6B from NickH yesterday evening. Great guy, and indulged me in a quick tutorial of how to program the thing! Invaluable information as I ended up gigging it that evening! Ditto Blademan_98's comments about the Status! Many thanks Nick, I'm now a happy chap.
10. Bump. Any interest? This really is a top notch unit. Is the brand off-putting or the price? Price is now dropped to £750 which is a huge drop from the purchase price and definitely great value considering the condition of the amp.
11. Bump. Any interest on this gem of a combo?
12. I'm selling this combo on behalf of my good friend Tom (basschatter - tjw101). He listed it a few months back shortly before he emigrated to Canada (subsequently now in Australia) - I've kept the title and description consistent with his original listing. I've been taking care of the combo since he's been away. I've taken four pics so you can see the front, back panel and the bottom corners (where the minor damage is). Here's what he originally had to say... "This is by far the best combo amp I have ever used, the perfect balance of weight, volume and sound quality. You can crank this full volume with a 5 string bass and it still has a perfect crisp sound. You can even add an extra 1 x10 cab on top to take advantage of the full 350W in this amazing bit of gear. Full details about the amp can be found on the EBS site: http://www.bass.se/2009/ng212.htm but I believe the reputation of the amp speaks for itself. I bought the amp new in March 2008, retail price is around £1400 - £1500. It did about 60 gigs in 2008 and since then has mainly been in storage as I've been working abroad. Aside from one of the corner protectors being damaged it is still in mint condition." He forgot to mention that the amp also comes with the original castors and instruction manual. [s]He'd like £850 for it.[/s] Now going for £750 (collected). Anyone who's interested is welcome to pop round (I'm in Southampton) and try it out. Any questions, just give me a shout! Here are the pics... Cheers, Dan.
13. Just sold my Punch Factory compressor pedal to James. A thoroughly decent person to deal with, good communication, he paid promptly. Thanks!!
14. Gone now. Thanks to everyone who expressed interest. [s]Selling my Aphex Punch Factory. Perfect working order. Previously attached to my pedal board so the underside has velcro strips attached (easily removed if you want). Any questions, just shout. As the topic description says, £45 posted. I'm Southampton-based and happy for anyone who wants to try it to come round.[/s]
