1. Or an Orange SP210/SP212?
2. I already have a 4x10 for when I need more volume...just looking for something to use when I know this wont be a problem (and when we've not got use of the van)! Incidentally...what do manufacturers mean by giving a 'programme' and 'continuous' power rating? Short bursts only?
3. Thanks. Sorry...250 continuous/500 programme, thats what I meant. This is what I was wondering, as its the smaller gigs where there you dont generally have the PA support! Secondhand SP210 is the other option if I can find the pennies...
4. Im looking for a small/lightweight cab for quieter shows...seems to be the way things are going! Does anyone have any experience of these? Would be looking to pair it with by 500 Bass Terror...which naturally makes me wonder about the power rating of these cabs. Fender describe it as 500 watts RMS/Programme...what does this actually mean? Will it handle 500 watts being pumped into it (not that it will ever be cranked up to the max)? £230 seems very cheap for a cab rated at 500 watts so wondering where the catch lies... If this isnt the case...I guess the choice of 8 inch drivers is pretty limited! Cheers
5. Thanks for the replies...lots of useful info. When I said 'flat', I meant set at 0. I wouldn't say muddy either...just a bit dark I suppose. I think I'm going to do the valve mod and perhaps experiment with some other cabs.

7. Ive got one of these and they're great basses. I was expecting it to be a heavy slab of timber but to be honest its only slightly heavier than my Squier CV Precision and thats about 8lbs... This one's all black too...whats not to like
8. These old classics are all superb - would be cool to add something contemporary to your set too, maybe a track or two by the awesome Hollie Cook? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C4fP0Q-oJuw
9. I'm no expert but try giving this one a go; http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PTp9SMFQ3Hw I got it just! Sometimes! I figure being able to play Rancid stuff is mainly nailing that fast picking technique along with the major scales. This may bridge the gap a bit...if it doesn't...hey ho, you've still learnt another killer lick!
10. This badboy is still for sale - any love? Would take £550 posted... Will probably put her on evilbay if not.
11. Unlikely I know, but dont suppose you'd be interested in a trade for a Ampeg Dan Armstrong?
12. Yeah I would - but its pretty heavy with the case, going to be about £25. Someone asked about the weight of the bass a while back - I havent got any scales but its similar to my precision and thats about 8 pounds.
13. Hi Phatkat, sorry I missed your message - I think its around the 8lb mark but will have to check and get back to you.
14. Cool, just thought I'd try my luck! If I can sell it I'd definitely be tempted to have a look at your 51 seeing as it looks like you're based nearby...
15. Hi Tele, really like these - dont suppose there's an outside chance you would consider a trade for an Ampeg Dan Armstrong?
16. Fancy a Fender at Squier price? This badboy is still up for grabs
