  1. A common feature of the 70s which I guess Squier have recreated here.
  2. Sent Graham some accessories I was selling and he was very easy to deal with. Hope you enjoy Graham!
  3. I failed 2023 after 5 years of previous success, but I am certain I can get back to normal service in 2024.
  4. I tend to agree. Love my 2006 mex p bass but it has its imperfections. The US basses 2008 onwards stepped it up a gear too.
  5. Small device that can connect an audio device (amp or mixing desk) with a Bluetooth device (phone/ tablet/ laptop). It gives the ability to play music through your chosen speaker via Bluetooth, so you can jam along. £10 + postage or collection from Alsager
  6. Pedal to turn pages on your tablet while you play by using your feet. I bought this with the hope of getting dep gigs but quit altogether shortly after so it’s never seen use, other than home testing it when I first had it. Also included is the K&M IPad clip which attaches to the end of a mic stand. £50+ postage or collect from Alsager.
  7. Mint condition, made in Italy. It is a clean volume boost DI pedal, but importantly has the Markbass filters so you can sound like Markbass through a PA. I have the original box, power supply, and owners manual. £75+postage to UK or collection from Alsager
  8. Going to regret this but needs must. This is the discontinued markbass 1x12 combo, with little mark 2 head and made in Italy. It has the VPF and VLF filters. It is 300w in current configuration but can reach 500w with an extension cab. But it has always been loud enough for any of the gigs I took it on without. Ive not used this much in the last 5 years as I gave up gigging but have played it occasionally in the house. It comes with a very nice cover (brand unknown) and a Markbass stand. Collection only from Alsager.
  9. He will give it a bloody good go!
  10. The hacking of basschat accounts is getting out of hand
  11. If the Rotosound rounds are anything like their flats (which were like pulling a bus with one finger) then I suspect that’s it.
  12. How weird, usually it is the complete opposite! I think the less tension the better whether flat or round
  13. For it to get a mention here I thought I must have missed a Buble’s bass solo. Maybe next year 🙏
  14. Sire V5 off this forum. Only bought this and strings, so no bad purchase 😁
  15. I didn’t think I’d ever need a fake ID to fake it as a 62 year old
  16. I think demographic of group plays a large role in the answers, but I am surprised not to see many mentions of some DB masters like Ray Brown, Ron Carter, Charles Mingus ect.
  17. How difficult would it be to create a knockout contest using the polls? Flea vs Entwhistle, Macartney vs Nate watts, Jamerson vs duck dunn. Start with 100 bassists and eventually we get to the winner (obviously Jamerson).
  18. I’ve messed this up anyway, completely forgot about my biggest influence Rocco Prestia! We’re lucky really to have so many amazing players to learn from
  19. I’ve already voted, but Stuart Zender would be in my top 3
  20. It reduces studio time and therefore costs. Gone are the days when a record label would pay for the band to have weeks in a recording studio to get a decent take. Ive only ever quantised on MIDI but that’s because my controller is crap and there’s little consistency.
  21. I’ve tried flats/ tapewound but prefer the round wound sound. I use nickel over steel because they tend to be a little smoother so my theory is it will wear the fingerboard less.
  22. I am in the top .5% of Tower of Power listeners apparently. I was learning 16 of their songs though this summer. Clearly needed a few listens 😅
