1. My eBay home-brew has a switch!
 2.
It looks lovely How much does it weigh? Would it help with neck dive?
I've never weighed it - but its certainly not heavy enough to make an impact on neck dive.
 3. Made my own. http://www.ebay.co.u...3.c100506.m3226 and 8 eneloop pros. Just reverse the polarity on the attached cable.
 4.
Sheer loveliness......
Nice example!
 5.
I would love to try two 8x10s stacked horizontally with a big valve amp.
Whenever I think about horizontal 8x10s, Nicky Wire (Manic SP) comes to mind... 4x horizontal 8x10s
 6. I never posted the complete thing... here it is... This has been on for a while though - and hasn't been cleaned for a while... so the mirror effect isn't as pronounced as it could be!
 7. Can you explain the modified to handle both 4 and 8 ohms bit?
 8. I forsee this to be another Chunk Systems synth pedal fiasco. Massive hype and when the thing lands, it's ultimately very disappointing. To be honest, I think I would have lost interest by now and spent my money elsewhere. Maybe when the 500w version lands (ha) I may reignite what little interest I have left.
 9.
Failing graphene, how about the world's first carbon fibre bass cab?
It's been done. Flopped.
 10. mrtcat - how you getting on since getting your ue900s into customs?
 11.
Tims stuff is a photo image on clear acrylic, so not an actual chrome over brass plate...it just looks like that from a distance. Hope this helps.
I was going to say, there are very, very few people doing full on brass with chrome plating in the pick guard world.
 12.
Pm timal he's a member here and makes them to order is website is originalscratchplates. Com I think
Does he do chrome on a brass plate? If so, could have save me a load of trouble!
 13.
Hi folks and apologies for being lazy but this is a monster thread! I just bought a pair of Ultimate ear Triple Fi 10s, the drummer in my band had his re-shelled in Florida by https://www.inearz.com and they have done an awesome job, I was thinking of using them. I reckon there should be no duty as it's a repair (maybe). But is there anyone in the UK who you would recommend to re-shell? Thanks!
They would be liable for duty because they are a modification - not a repair from the manufacturer. custom inearmonitors use inearz for their reshells.
 14. Check my build - http://basschat.co.uk/topic/297528-chrome-scratchplate/ If there was enough interest and money up front, it may be possible to do a run for P fans...
 15. Is it a multitrack wav?
 16.
You don't need the whole mountain of them though!
My aim is to have one rig in each room of my house...
 17.
Ha ha - yes and he doesn't even use them live anymore!
Only when theres no IEM option available to me!
 18. Billy Ocean has still got it. If you ever get the chance to see him, I urge everybody to make the effort - his band is superb and his voice is incredible - he can still hit all the notes and you will not hear him off key all night.
 19. I sold mine after it burnt my wrist.
 20. The secret to the EBS cab is the crossover paired with the Eminence drivers... so if you like the excitable highs, that's what you'll need.... You could always find the cheapest EBS cab you can find and use it as a donor cab and get the speakers and crossover into a lighter box... Gunsfreddy's setup is interesting though - the SWR has a lot of highs too... and some would argue that the crossover is more sensible.
 21. Just had a clear out of music stuff... so no doubt I'll be putting stuff up here as I discover stuff... Anyway, all unused... [s]4m George L cable .155 - £18[/s] [s]17[/s] 13x right angle George L nickel jacks - £4 ea [s]5 x adjacent pedal connectors (gold) ... £SOLD[/s] 3x Fender FG6LL - 6 inch jack to jack cable - £10
Second vote for Orchid Electronics here Si
This - http://www.orchid-electronics.co.uk/classic_DI.htm
 25.
Cheers all -usefull stuff there. Do you isolate your subs , or maybe just not use them on boomy floors?
No - they should couple to the floors. If the room is "boomy", you need to tune your PA to the room using a 31 band eq on the outputs.
