Hi everyone. Been ages since I visited our lovely forum. I hope everyone is doing well. I plugged my Genz Benz Streamliner 600 in at bandcamp on Thursday and it wouldn’t produce any noise. I had plugged into a beringer 810 as it’s the only cab there. No issues with the same cab previously so don’t think that’s an issue. The amp had been working fine at home only a few days previously. so, what should I be trying first to remedy it? New tubes?

I use a Genz Benz Streamliner head which seems to suffer from a very bass heavy scooped sound when I have used it with some other cabs (trace Elliot, Ashdown MAG, beringer fridge, Laney). The Focus cab seems to be better at coaxing out some mids with my head so maybe it’s got a mid hump. Could be talking shite though.

One of my cabs is a Focus 210 and it sounds great. The horn is great too. A really punchy sound. Lightweight too considering it’s a ceramic magnet.

Buy a decent preamp and run it in to monitor speakers is another option.

That’s great. I’ve always found GuitarGuitar staff to be very helpful and proactive towards their customer. That’s why I keep going back. Next purchase might be a reverend though, so likely to be someone else. Also like Andertons and it’s good that you get the reward points.

Buy another head that sounds decent at low volumes. My Streamliner sounds great at low volumes with the gain high and volume low in the preamp and the master volume set low.

Yeah, exactly why I posted. Surely if you spend £4K on a bass you don’t have any left for an amp😂

I wish they made a Mustang with the same shape but slightly bigger and a 34” scale length. I’m on the talk side, live the look and sound of them but they look and feel silly (on me).

The fit of the neck into the body looks terrible!

If the fretboard was ebony and the hardware was black it would be a stunner.

This is easily the best looker for my eyes. The spec seems to be pretty decent for that money. I don’t have any knowledge of the dimarzio pickups though. Volume, Blend and three band eq. Lumilay side markers too and a torified neck.

That’s a great track. Love the ups and downs, thanks to Basschat for introducing another band to check out. This pedal is now top of my GAS list. Can see constant use in the home recording ideas for the band and in rehearsal and live. Lots of fun to be had with the variety of sounds too. Best feature for me is the analogue user interface....much prefer this to having to deep dive into digital menus. Any long term users able to update on how they are finding it now?
