  6. I saw a band in the late eighties/ early nineties called detritus. they used to do their version of help in a post Metallica thrash kind of style. Unfortunately it isn’t held for posterity on YouTube 😢 It was thoroughly enjoyable though.

  8. Totally forgot about this. love it!! 🤘🤘
  9. Lost in music - sister sledge
  10. I’ve always loved the Jaguar esque styling of the eliminators. trouble is that these days I generally only use passive basses, otherwise I’d have grabbed one already- if I could find one! 😂😂 great score though 👍👍
  11. I’ve always loved this
  12. Let the bodies hit the floor- drowning pool
  13. Heroes- David bowie
  14. I use a lot of different drives across my bands. my ‘base level’ is a slightly gritty tone from the bass soul food or tc spark boost, which is augmented at times by different pedals, all using a mid gainy sound. Sounds big and fat with the bands. currently those pedals are : caline orange burst ehx glove od hardwire tube od It’s worth noting that I play in hard rock and metal bands, and in both 3 piece +vox and 4 piece +vox environments im also intending to audition my new orange getaway driver in situ as and when I get the chance to play outside the boundaries of home 😳 Initial impressions so far are good, but still it remains to be seen (heard) within the mix
  15. Up the junction - squeeze
  16. Angel of death - slayer
  17. I’m gonna git you sucka - gap band
  18. I was offered one of the last few deep impacts by the shop I worked in at the time ( late 90’s) for £50, as the owner was considering picking up the remaining stock from the distributor. considering the last one I saw on eBay was listed at 995 I could probably say I missed out royally 😂
  19. Fingers are primary for me, although some songs I play require a pick tone. I use delrin 1.14mm custom prints from Scott Clayton and also John petrucci jazz ones when I fancy a change 😂
  20. I have the guyatone, behringer slow motion, mooer slow engine and the rowin one- of these the one I use most is the mooer, although the size of the rowin comes in as runner up lol
  21. Really enjoyed the new album by testament- titans of creation. It’s a cracking album- well written, played and produced. also the despicable ep by carcass is outstanding. the new Ozzy was surprisingly good as well. the new my dying bride output this year- ghost of Orion and macabre cabaret I found very enjoyable.
  22. On the run- pink floyd
  23. I use a focus rite Scarlett 2i2 to record into my iPad. it requires bus power, but I use the iPad camera adaptor to power/ connect to the iPad. Very happy with it. the resulting recordings will be released later this year
  24. Mansize rooster - supergrass
