1. I have a tu2, pitchblack, and polytune mini The only thing the poly mini doesn't support with regard to bass is the polyphonic tuning. Single string stuff is still perfect. I use this one for my function and pub bands For one of my bands I use the pitchblack, as it has a courtesy 9v out, and I can use that for an extra pedal The tu2 is my back up. Still a great tuner though
2. Sold Graeme a Mooer pedal. I could not have asked for an easier deal. A thoroughly nice chap too. Cheers mate
3. Sold Ian a micro q tron. Nice easy deal. Great communication, and a thoroughly nice chap too Cheers
4. Rest well Clive. Thank you
5.
This is my gigging board..... The qtron won't be going on it as my band has little use for a filter in it's sound. The qtron I bought as a toy if I like it and get the hang of using it [and the others like it and we write some songs that are enhanced by using it] it will stay off the board The band i am in gig a 2hr+ set of sel penned songs going back over the last 30 years which the punters know well from the many albums recorded. A qtron just isn't going to do anything for the bass on those.
Fair enough mate. Enjoy
6. So the qtron hasn't made it to the board yet?
7. Sold Rich a bottom feeder. Easy swift transaction. Deal with confidence Cheers Rich
8. Hi defo. Interesting board. Is that a g bone?
9. Iommi Jon lord Randy rhoads Tom morello ( in audioslave) Gary Moore
10. I saw him at a show about 25 years ago. An amazing musician, with an amazing band. Got to meet him afterwards, and was struck with what a down to earth nice guy he was. I was about 15 at the time and he was so inspiring musically and personally
11. I have a fecker pretender bass logo on one I've assembled myself. I also have a bass I've assembled that had a fender logo on the headstock when I bought it. It has been mistaken for a '76 in the past. I did confess though but was told I'd done a good job!
12. Only the distortion side of the m80 is a bit metally. The normal side has loads of options and eq available should you need it as well as the colour switch which will scoop the mids. The behringer mentioned above is definitely worth checking out, especially of you like the sound of ampeg. I've used lots of di / pres over the years for this exact purpose, and always come back to the mxr.
13. Look at this on eBay: ARIA PRO II DIAMOND JPJ-3 BASS GUITAR http://bit.ly/YJPVmo
14. It was really good to see some new faces today. Apologies bluejay again. I really must learn to read a name tag!! I walked away with a ditto looper ( it was either going to be an rh250 or the ditto). A total departure for me. I'm hoping it will expand my thought process while playing. Quite enjoyed Steve Lawson on the markbass stand, and Yolanda as always. Briefly meeting Neil Murray was my highlight though. That guy has been such an inspiration over the years. I also had a chance to play with both of the new mxr bass offerings - the bass chorus Dlx, and the bass od. I don't think I see them in my future, although I will try them again when I can actually hear the sound in the headphones over the sound of people spanking basses loudly
15. To be honest it did sound a little better in person, but not a lot. I heard the fuzz, filter and octave today. I won't be looking to buy them
16. It was ok. A fair few of the exhibitors had gone the headphones route, but the trouble was even with the headphones on you still had to really focus to hear yourself. There was one individual who spent a significant amount of time on one of amp stands trying a very new range of pedals with his 'homies' and a video camera playing so obnoxiously loud the other exhibitors were getting angry. Highlights of the day for me were the ditto looper, the rh250 amp, watching some of the demos, and the cort punisher - yummy! Especially awesome for me was the brief moment I had with Neil Murray !
