  1. All the very best Dave and again, thanks for the great cables. Enjoy your well deserved retirement sir.
  2. I pretty much stopped playing when I moved to St Helens, never found a band that would have me! I only dabble at home now. Welcome along and if you're a Saints man - congratulations! 👍
  3. This post cannot be displayed because it is in a forum which requires at least 1 post to view.
  4. Marinus bought my Stingray and arranged the courier. Flawless transaction and a great guy to deal with. Cheers!
  5. We really do need to see a picture of that kettle lead. Length of the cable would also be of use! But have a bump for an absolute bargain.
  6. That is such a cool looking cab. Good luck with your 'buyer.' I'm surprised it didn't sell here.
  7. Cheers! Cheers again! Thanks. I just can't bring myself to trust the courier system. Had one bad experience and can't afford another. (On ebay, not here thankfully). Not sure as I don't have any means of weighing it. Much lighter than my '77 Pbass!
  8. The one in, one out rule applies so up for grabs is my Candy Apple Red Stingray. I think it's a 2009 but I'm not 100% on that. I've only owned it for about 6 months and in that time it's been 'used' once for an audition. I bought it as I wanted to get back into playing live but that never happened, given up on that idea for now! Overall great condition with only a few light scratches, a tiny dink on the side of the body measuring around 3mm and a small chip on the fingerboard (4th fret). Comes with a white pearl scratch plate as well as the original black one (I prefer the black) and the MusicMan case. Collection from Merseyside or I could possibly deliver or meet up depending on distance etc. I really don't want to ship this. PayPal fine if fees covered. No trade offers thanks Any Q's please ask. Cheers, Paul
  9. Selling my MarkBass STD104HF. Bought early this year as I wanted to get back into playing with a good band but that just ain't happening! So it has sat here pretty much idle for the last 6 months or more. My little MarkBass 1x12 combo is all I'll ever need. Great overall condition with no issues to report. Price is £325 collected from Merseyside. I could possibly deliver/meet depending on distance. There's no way I can post this. Not interested in any trades thanks, just looking to get back what I paid. Cheers
  10. A Westone ThunderJet was my first bass. I've not played one for 30 years but I'd like to hear one through a good modern amp just to see how they really sound.
  11. Back up for sale. £300 collected.
  12. Bought a cracking little Markbass combo off Dunc today. Great guy who was happy to keep it on hold for me. A pleasure to deal with and would be more than happy to play on that lovely JV Squire again! Cheers 😊
  13. That must have cost an arm and a leg. I didn't realist that they went back as early as that. I started playing in 1988 and these only existed in magazines, well out of reach for a 15 year old! This is pretty close to me, I'd be interested to see how much it goes for.
  14. Kris recently bought my G&L Tribute. Real nice guy to deal with, absolute pleasure. Many thanks Kris!
  15. Had the great pleasure of meeting Colin for a trade today. Pulled out all the stops for a local (for me) handover of fine basses. Ensured that his bass was restrung and set up prior to trade and in tip-top condition. Absolute first class guy to deal with. Many thanks Colin.
  16. TecAmp Puma 500 in as new condition. Completely unmarked and no issues, used at home only. Comes with all packaging and instruction manual. Can be collected and tested here or delivered (UK only). Paul
  17. I would certainly pay for a pro version if it eliminated the time wasters that plague it. I forgot tho mention earlier that one band gave me a list of a songs to learn for an audition. I spent quite a lot of time learning them only to never hear from the band again! Ignored all the messages I sent them. Turds.
  18. I've been looking on JMB for about 5 months now. I got made redundant from my old job 6 months ago which didn't give me enough spare time to play much bass. I decided not to take a similar job with long hours and early starts and get get back into playing. Well, what a shower of shyte it's been. I've only replied to suitable ads, the type of stuff I want to play and similar age group to myself (46). I'm a pretty decent and experienced player, good enough for your pub covers band which it what I want to do, nothing fancy, just enjoy playing again. I must have responded to at least 10 ads so far. Managed to get 1 audition after a long struggle communicating with them and never heard anything again. Many messages don't get a reply or the messages just stop. One bands set list was pretty much the same as my last bands. I said I'd be interested and knew all the stuff they did. I got a very quick reply saying that they'd audition me at next practice and seemed very enthusiastic about it..... then nothing. It's been like that all along, a bloody waste of time.
