thanks go to Martin and his backstage team for the live stage yesterday. The friend who i was with wanted to see TM Stevens, but is disabled with spina bifida, and can only stand for short periods of time, after queueing to see Yolanda's master class yesterday, her back was starting to go on her. With Martins help he allowed her to get in, after queueing seated closeby. She was so grateful. -

well looking for a $$ corvette, just happens thats both i've been looking at are NT models

Listed today at £2,429 on sale pre -owned for £1649 http://www.guitarguitar.co.uk/bass_guitars.asp?brandname=Warwick Plays well and is in excellent condition from what i could make out, however even with SH prices is this about right, bearing in mind its in a retail outlet? My other choice is this, list price £2189, offered for £1699. http://www.bassmerchant.com/b15608411.html I havent tried this out yet, but appears to be a better buy, obviously id rather not buy without trying so a trip to bass merchant maybe in order.

i really don't know what the big deal is? Cabs are a personal taste. I like Bergs, someone else like aguilars, someone else likes markbass etc, the list goes on. As for the endorsement issue, just because Joe Soap, or whoever plays X Y or Z cabs really has no bearing on what cab i would buy. As other pointed out Mark at Bass Direct is willing to put several cabs together for you to try/demo at the end of the day it's up to you whatever you buy. I realise thats its not s gig setting, but bear that in mind when making your choices.
-
I guess at the end of the day, it's down to the sound you want, no matter how much you may play about with the eq, if the sound is not for you then you move on to something that is. I personally love the berg sound I had with my streamliner, but thats not to say its the sound everyone is after.
I'm sure this has been said before, but don't be fooled by the 30watt rating. The LB30's much, much louder than you'd think. A good deal from Mr Cable Guru himself!
I totally agree, The LB30 is a brilliant amp, I should know i used to have one, probably gonna be shot down but don't let the fact it's chinese built put you off, IMHO, the UK ones were supposed to be limited to 100, when i was looking they were way over this figure.

ooh which pub, might have to pop in for a swift one lol
-
should you go, well my OH who isn't a bass player loved it, Shame i didn't get to see all the gigs or masterclasses, but hope to see more this year and Jodie as a non player was very impressed with the masterclass TM Stevens put on, i believe there is a clip of it somewhere on youtube.

As above really, Try them all out with the Genz is the best way to find the sound you want. It's always to easy to take advice from others, but tat the end of the day it'll be you playing the combination together. I considered the Vanderkley cabs and shortlisted them a while back, but when I tried them wasn't impressed Having not played the shortlisted three cabs i cannot comment, but my advice is simple try them all for which works out best for you.
