4.
Nice bass. Might be worth adding the weight as these bubinga bodied Warwicks vary enormously from the perfectly manageable to humungously heavy!!!!
i didn't realise that until recently, my own was really heavy and i was used to it. I tried an identical bass when demoing an amp at mansons and couldn't get over the difference in weight. and have a 'bump' on me.
5. I've just recently switched to a 5 string too. I sold my 4 string so i could focus slowly on the 5 string solely, i've also taken this opportunity to go back to basics and am currently working my way through the scales and modes book.
6. Must admit i'm impressed with this.
7. I've also decided to go back to the basics, to get a better understanding of music theory.
8. looks really good, very impressed
9.
She seems to be doing that bizzare thing that sea bed dwelling fish do and blending into the background But seriously, that is one lovely looking bass. Congratulations
thanks. lol that was completely un intentional
10. Pics of the AB1 i picked up yesterday.
11. Picked mine up this afternoon, pics to follow
12. I see they are now in stock, at Bass Direct and sounded pretty good too
13. thanks go to Martin and his backstage team for the live stage yesterday. The friend who i was with wanted to see TM Stevens, but is disabled with spina bifida, and can only stand for short periods of time, after queueing to see Yolanda's master class yesterday, her back was starting to go on her. With Martins help he allowed her to get in, after queueing seated closeby. She was so grateful.
14. if you want to add me in, I'll be a wanderer Saturday.
15. Thanks rednose thats exactly the answer i was hoping, i thought it was over priced too, thats why i'm currently considering something else now.
16. yep it was one of the last ones, made in May 2009, thanks for the bumps, guys.
17. Wednesday evening bump, gonna add some pics later to show its exceptional condition, and is one of the last German made examples. as the pics shows its in "as new' / mint condition. Thanks for looking
18. well looking for a $$ corvette, just happens thats both i've been looking at are NT models
19. Listed today at £2,429 on sale pre -owned for £1649 http://www.guitarguitar.co.uk/bass_guitars.asp?brandname=Warwick Plays well and is in excellent condition from what i could make out, however even with SH prices is this about right, bearing in mind its in a retail outlet? My other choice is this, list price £2189, offered for £1699. http://www.bassmerchant.com/b15608411.html I havent tried this out yet, but appears to be a better buy, obviously id rather not buy without trying so a trip to bass merchant maybe in order.
20. For sale is my Warwick Corvette in excellent condition, recently set up and supplied with LaBella flats Bought new from the Guitar works in 2010, comes complete with warwick hard case, owners kit etc, has been waxed regularly and plays well, just not getting the use now. Looking for £550, collection from Wiltshire or delivery at cost within an hours distance of Wiltshire.
21. another +1 for the roland cube range
22. Have a bump on me, I have one very similar too, bought from the guitar works.
23. i really don't know what the big deal is? Cabs are a personal taste. I like Bergs, someone else like aguilars, someone else likes markbass etc, the list goes on. As for the endorsement issue, just because Joe Soap, or whoever plays X Y or Z cabs really has no bearing on what cab i would buy. As other pointed out Mark at Bass Direct is willing to put several cabs together for you to try/demo at the end of the day it's up to you whatever you buy. I realise thats its not s gig setting, but bear that in mind when making your choices.
24. I guess at the end of the day, it's down to the sound you want, no matter how much you may play about with the eq, if the sound is not for you then you move on to something that is. I personally love the berg sound I had with my streamliner, but thats not to say its the sound everyone is after.
