  1. Fair enough each to his own. I want a US Sterling maybe this year. Sold the classic, kept my Ray34 for now.
  2. You honestly don't miss the lack of contour, I didn't on my classic anyways.....
  3. This is 1000% true. Same links in E. Guitarist playing bass
  4. Maybe the early 90s thumbs were aggressive but this one for example just sounds bright and trebley to my ears 🤷‍♀️ . Just my opinion of course https://youtu.be/CTInbiAPieU
  5. @mikeycrikey, you have some collection of Yamahas!!!
  6. @dub_junkiehave seen the Sabre, its beautiful. That would be some weapon with status neck. I loved the classic but felt like I was fighting it all the time. The Ray34, lighter, 3 band eq, sounds same. No fancy bidseye maple but it was 500 quid!!
  7. Agreed on above, I love my 34 but wish it had a jazz style neck. The classic was a stunner but felt clunky. Wonderful basses but worth the money over a 34? No chance in my opinion.
  8. Ray34 all the way. The Ray4 is ok but the 34 sounds like a US. I had a US classic, absolutely beaut to look it but 34 was just easier to play and sounded the same. I got a used 34 on here for 500 quid. Bargain
  9. Every Stingray should come with a 3D printed thumbrest, though they would probably charge you 500 quid for it.....
  10. @4000 its all your fault, I have thumb GAS and this just popped up https://www.andertons.co.uk/bass-dept/bass-guitars/modern-bass-guitars/second-hand-warwick-gps-thumb-4 Anyone any idea what year?
  11. This is true, a Yamaha 2024 can growl with the best of them when set up low.
  12. +1, get a Ray34 or 35 for a fraction of the price. My Ray34 sounds EXACTLY like my Classic did so I sold the Classic. I love the tone of a Ray but can't get along with playability either. Made a thumb rest for my Ray34
  13. L2000 From your list though I'd say Stingray
  14. That flight case is beautiful nice bass too
  15. Wow, 2 beauties, the CLFs are supposed to be mega SB2 Tribute next for me
  16. Yeah, I really like the look of the BTB, I love metal/prog etc but not the Djentlemen Would love another lovely skinny neck SR with fan frets, they did one a few years back but those BH2 pickups are getting mixed reviews
  17. This is true, although their target audience seems to be the Dingwall/Darkglass crowd from the above video. That BTB looks more versatile than that
