1. Has Doctor Tweek got what you're after? EDIT - no it looks like he doesn't (just read your thread properly!) CPC used to stock loads of those angled enclosures... off to have a look now.... How about these or these
2. How about a T-Amp? If you search for T-amp you'll find loads of variations, that's just the first I came upon. EDIT here's a couple more: £13.99 £20 odd Looks like you'll need a wall wart as well, but that's cheap enough.
3. Roland GR20 with Planetwaves cable and manual, £250 + shipping. NOW SOLD!
4. Well folks, subject to the cheque clearing, I'm sad to say the bass is sold. GR20 is still up for grabs though - I think I'll do a separate add for that chappy.
5. What about this Funkmeister
6.
That's a clever, thought through, and eminently sensible suggestion.
I have my moments
7.
thinking of doing this with a 1x15 speaker ive got kicking around. did you use premade plans or do them yourself?
I would take a look at the Electrovoice TL606 plan (available here), so long as the driver is designed for the volume of the cab. I warn you though - 18mm ply weighs a fair bit!!!! Loads of guff in the DIY cabs build thread
8.
I'll be very interested to hear what you think of these. I've got a Deltalite-loaded wide-bodied Omni 10. I'm about to embark cutting it in half to make two 10.5s for easier transport although a few people on the BFM forum didn't recommend that I did! But then I'm a fool like that. On the BFM site there were reports that the Omnis "chuff" on loud low signals but I've never noticed that with mine. The plan is to then build a pair of Jack 110s for bas and convert the Omnis for PA use by fitting a crossfire piezo array. Much wood butchery to be done!
I would suggest making another Omni 10 and the use the pair for PA, rather than hacking the one you have about. Bigger boxes, but I think they would be a more capable rig. Then make the 2 Jack 110s for your bass rig. Then when you only need a mini PA, use a single Omni 10 for bass and the Jack 110s for the PA.
9. There's a fretless one going on eBay at the mo - looks slightly better nick, but maybe the fretlessness will keep the price down a bit, so that could be a guide to a possible "real world" price.
10. How about the Korg Pandora range? A secondhand PX4B or even a PX3B would do the job nicely I'd think. I use my PX4B with a pair of (modified) Grados (bought when the £/$ rate was good - less than £50 delivered to my door
11.
I'm afraid somebody already has! Drum mic set is officially on hold.
Good! Temptation is kept at bay. Anyway, it should be our drummer doing this, not me
12. Yeah, no I realised you wouldn't want to split them, I was just explaining why I asking about them - I was going to get the kick and a pair of their condensers from Red5 (cheapskate that I am) - but could be tempted to buy the bundle if nobody wants to snap them up.
13. Quick query re the Red5 mics - afraid I'm not up for buying the lot - we're just looking at getting a kick drum mic and a couple of condensors as overheads - but how have you found the Red5 kick mic?
14. Here's today's batch of pics - this time of the GR20. I should say that I've had an expression of interest, which relies on the potential buyer selling a bass first. I have said I will give him first dibs, and some time to sell the bass, but should anyone else be interested, I will check with Mr First Dibs before going any further. Does that make sense? R
15. I'm interested in the speakers. Any rough idea of weight, dimensions? Are you able to ship? (I can organise a courier).
16.
Oooh! I forgot about your earlier kind offer when I bought the cab. RichardH = officially very helpful I'd be happy to bung you a few quid Rich if you fancied posting me a little pot, then I can touch it up in advance, thus making this cab so desirable no mortal could resist!
PM me your address and I'll pop something in the post.
17. Free offer - for anyone who buys this cab, I will post a small pot of Tuffcab paint so you can touch those little chips up.
18. Some more pics, including of the ding I mentioned. Pics of the case and swingtags etc Any questions, please ask!
19. Thanks - that's odd, it was last time I looked! Fixed now.
20. Can you do anything with the pickups - maybe spray them white? I think the gold might better without the "bulk" of the black pickups right next to it. Though I know that's only a render and it's hard to picture it correctly.
21. Hi Warren. Shipping inc insurance to £750 would be £25.
22. I think the OP was talking about the Combo 450. As far as I understnad, the amp can slide out of the combo, so you lose nothing in the flexibility stakes.
23. I imagine this is a valve amp we're talking about.
24. More pics You'll see it still has the plastic peel off covering on the back plates.
