1. I use the M-audio fast track. Come up pretty cheap second hand on here and ebay. Can't really fault it. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/M-Audio-Fast-track-USB-audio-interface-ideal-for-home-recording-guitar-vox-/201095955928?pt=UK_Musical_AudioMIDI_Interfaces&hash=item2ed240c5d8
2.
Hi. Can you tell me the main difference between the Stirling Stingray and the standard Stingray in sound?
There are plenty of articles that go into lots of depth. The fundamental differences are; smaller body, slimmer neck (more jazz bass) and the 3 way selector. You can run the pickup in series, parallel and single coil modes. Parallel gives you something very close to a stingray, series mode has lots of thump and growl to my ears. Oh it has 22 frets to the stingrays 21 as well!! Im sure the anoraks on here can go into more detail should you require it.....
3.
No doubt it would, my point is that we both know that probably wouldn't happen. There are a million - dare I say it - better songs out there which never get to a wider audience 'cos the writer isn't 'connected'. Such is life.
By the sounds of it; I think it was a bit of an accidental hit..... No denying the guy p**ses gold though.
4. just dropped the bomb on my wedding suit need to move this on, drop to £700 bump.
5.
So it's just like almost every other Warwick then. ;-)
Shots fired
6. I thought it was ok Steve, not too bad, not amazing......somewhere in the middle. Some of the performances were pretty bad from what I've seen. I think the song was written for Ce-lo Green originally, its on the Despicable me soundtrack. But he passed on it; bet he is regretting that decision.
7. Very cool! Rick's usually leave me feeling a little bit meh!
8. Utter bargain. I sold my '04 with a heavy heart a while back. If I had the cash I'd be all over this. Absolutely baffled that this hasn't gone yet.
9. Hi All, Have had this Sat around for ages now. Excellent T-Rex tone trunk pedalboard. The board measures 55 cm by 31 cm. In excellent condition with velcro on. The bag has seen some use as you would expect; I have tried to photograph the main area of wear. All wear is however cosmetic! Im after £48 + postage if required. Can be collected from Stoke, Derby or Stockport if that helps anyone.
10. Absolutely gorgeous bass. Thats a great price as well!!
11. I've broken 2 in 15 years or so. Have had some minor issues here and there, but I always feel better having a back up bass. Even though I hardly ever need it. I went through a phase of having a bass in standard and a bass in Drop C, and a phase of switching basses for different songs as well in old bands. The new Precision is working so well at the moment with my current band I don't feel the need to play anything else, still always take the 'ray though.
12. Lots of nibbles, Price dropped to £750. This bass needs a home folks!
13. I think we need pictures to help decide!!
14. That b-15 in the background should be censored!
15.
Hmmm. Not sure I can be arsed.
Are you not the type to get involved.......... Sorry, sorry that was awful...
16.
I found some D'Addario NIckels hiding in the back of a drawer. I've always found D'addarios to be especially good on the B string. And cor blimey it is sounding epic!! This afternoon I'll have a chance to take the bass into the garden for some natural light photos, so you'll have to wait until then!
Where do you live, Im coming now if you don't take pictures!
17.
Me too, especially since my interest in typography earns me a living these days. I can also top your sadness quotient: The only time I ever went to The Hacienda in Manchester was not to see some hip band but to attend a typography discussion featuring amongst others Erik Spiekermann and David Carson.
Have you seen the Helvetica movie?
18.
Thhpp!!
Burn! Typesetting and printing as an industry has always fascinated me. That sounded very sad out loud........
