Hi all, I'm selling this 1000w class d monster. Oodles and oodles of ampeg tone packed in here with some nice features including compression, ultra low and high, headphone socket on the front. Product link: http://www.ampeg.com...ts/pro/svt7pro/ This is a rev c model - the iteration they fixed. Selling as I'm not really into the ampeg tone to be honest and whilst it's flexible, my mesa serves my taste better. It comes in an easy carry hardcase. Good condition with a few scratches to a couple of knobs on front but not really noticeable from a few steps back. Collection preferred - I'm Bedford based. I get out to Oxford way though and gigging in London early Feb. Looking for 355. Pm me with any queries, thanks for looking.

Picked this up in a trade and not really an Aguilar guy unfortunately. Drop me a line with any queries, I have a psu with it that doesn't fit perfectly but powers it ok. Feet ar in place on the bottom and its in great condition. Looking for £125 posted. It comes with box and I'll get a pic or two up shortly. Drop me a line with any questions, cheers! Here's some info: This preamp/direct box is so strong and powerful it could only be called the "Tone Hammer"! Based on the respected OBP-3 preamp, the Tone Hammer® features fully sweepable midrange frequencies in addition to bass and treble controls. With the Tone Hammer's pristine D.I. you are set for the studio or the stage. To give this tone shaping unit the ultimate flexibility we are introducing our proprietary Adaptive Gain Shaping circuitry (AGS). AGS allows the player to kick in an additional gain structure and EQ with the "stomp" of a button. You can now go from modern slap sounds to vintage or overdriven. 18 volt operation gives the Tone Hammer® plenty of headroom to reproduce the most dynamic playing style. Separate Gain and Master controls allow you to dial in just the right gain structure for any instrument. The Tone Hammer® is the essential preamp/direct box for every bassist's tool box.

Traded an amp with prontoprova. Slick transaction and he travelled a bit. Nice fella, and would certainly deal with him again.

I haven't taken any - I understand the band Anta use this set up - they have some music up here: http://www.anta.org.uk/ There's also this youtube footage which is the PA pre rather than the instrument pre - i think this has an additional reverb: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=im5Lbw4x0GE Sounds pretty much this to my ear - appreciate the quality wont be great though on utoob... let me know if this helps.

Going back to school ? Old school style
Salt on your Bass? replied to spacey's topic in Amps and Cabs
I've gone light on my cabs with Neo drivers, albeit its still 22kg, but I like like what they do and how the cab performs. Amp wise, I went through a few Class Ds and accidentally fell back into a heavy weight hybrid that then made me realise I was missing a bit. Now gone all valve (400w) whilst I'm only just the right side of youth to manage it. So my preferred rig is now a Laney Nexus and Barefaced Big twin, and my lightweight carry on the train is a walkabout cause that carries far more authority in a drop tuning than orange, genz, tc, or anything else I've tried with my current set up. Great to have options though so heavy weight becomes a choice rather than a core fact of bassing. -
Shame Alex doesn't post over here anymore....

I think purpose of this thread is discussion about the product as the op has ordered one, together with feedback once it's out. I'm not sure if their 610 is out atm but I understand this is simply modular based system on that. I'm interested in this thread to see one wild and hear thoughts on it. Guess anything with barefaced in the title will attract criticism round here, which is a shame. Big gripes from some about handles and finish look to be addressed and still it wnot be good enough - however the company improves over time. Personally I just find constant barefaced criticism makes for some very boring and predictable reading, often moves off topic unecessarily and makes reading topics I'm interested in hard work.

KT88s are TAD as I understand. Thanks for the input above, much appreciated

Just carried my big twin 2 through my front door using the handles. A ok. Also used the top handle to pick it up earlier. Very enjoyable

Hi All, Making a decision on my laney Nexus to either get a full change of valves (to Marshalls as used in the VBA 400) or to get 3 TADs replaced. Money is pretty similar. Wondered what experience or difference there was between the two (if any). Making a decision in the next 24 hrs and really not experienced with this kinda stuff!!

This is my current rig and I love it. Sounds monstrous. ...and the little vintage number that I run for time to time when plug and play is in order....beautiful straight forward TONE! Good stuff man. Yeah I've been using the HF control on by BT2 and normally go tweeterless on my previous set ups. Great feeling when new gear hits the spot

Opinions on Barefaced BB2 with full tube amp???
Salt on your Bass? replied to joeghee's topic in Amps and Cabs
I use a 400w laney nexus all valve and an all valve 100w burman with a bt2, which I guess would ve similar. I love it. Great tone. The burman sounds really cranked through it when full pumping, very aggressive when the calves are pushed to the limit. I really like it. Wouldn't change my set up for anything other than adding another bt2 or bb2- which is totally stupid and unnecessary.....but....that's why it's appealing! -
Purchased a wah from padawanguz. Comms were a little slow at times, but it was a smooth transaction, a very well looked after item, exactly as described and packaged fantastically to preserve it in the hands of the postage company. I wouldn't hesitate buying from this gent again.

Played a 21st birthday party for our guitarists daughter. Bit of a drinking band, but never too bad until that Friday night. The drummer had had a few before arriving...a few we thought..... 4 songs in with some pretty terrible drumming and I turned round during mony mony to see him pulling his phone out his pocket, swaying and texting....still drumming.... Sixth song in and he fell asleep at the kit mid song. A couple of well placed kicks got him going again and he managed to wobble through the rest of the set somehow!
