Looking for a ready made harness, not individual pots.
-
Looking to replace the electrics on my yamaha rbx360, standard pots aren't long enough to fit through the body and tighten the nut in place. Pot(s) shaft is too short. Anyone know where I can get a harness VVT which'll fit?

The Short Scale Bass Appreciation Society!

I'm not knocking the bass. But if you scratch through the colour it's pale maple underneath, not roasted which would be the same colour throughout. The pickups are another downgrade, from roswell to HBs own generic version. -
an "Antoria-built Elektrasonik", allegedly
BTops replied to alyctes's topic in eBay - Weird and Wonderful
It's not. It's a rebadged wesley cougar. The brand was associated with antoria in the 70s, went under, then name revived by a budget brand in 90s. Its junk. -

The neck isn't roasted, it's just coloured to resemble being roasted. -

The original had gotoh tuners, so the current version is a downgrade! Sadly. -

Does anyone know if the string tension of Harley benton 40-95 rounds are similar to Thomastik flats 43-100? I currently have HB rounds on my bass, fancy a change from rounds to flats, but don't want to adjust the truss rod if possible, as it's accessed at the heel on my fender, making it a bit of a fuss to mess around with.

Nice, where is the pickguard from?

Incorrect title, but anyone in London may be interested in this Japanese 87 Squier precision... https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/396993609106?_skw=squier+bass&itmmeta=01K3JNNWFZ84XY2CN0HWDB6XRP&hash=item5c6ea9bd92%3Ag%3ARicAAeSwY4VorHiu&itmprp=enc%3AAQAKAAAA0FkggFvd1GGDu0w3yXCmi1dOncymAAfEsS9UJdtDtKewo1hj6n42kgZsym8k6CTMLWc%2BD%2BO%2BTHVysVeOVky1I7UzGILTR0WLXwbVWsIGFj3CROU%2BCquLpB%2BcXz2oqIVcDs6pKfF2b0QKi5kXf76qYUJw6x21LRkK5FOClwpzMq2TTl018GPftAfhMUDg7VGDZzoZyRAA5UjvYdLoB7ip7d6LUwHA7uE7k%2FBaoblCLcmIskJnBQFPJO7JlHRHiDXS1%2FwCd9btGaQ4gs%2BpUQ8Ryyk%3D|tkp%3ABk9SR6DI19WcZg&LH_ItemCondition=7000|3000|1500

The best thing to do is replace the bridge saddles with threaded saddles for better string alignment.
-
Looks very cool. Do you get any output from the G string, doesn't look like any poles would sit under/near the string?

People who know how to properly write promts with context etc can make music in minutes... Rick is no ai expert, but does a reasonable job in this tongue-in-cheek vid.

Just looking at the diagram on its own I would agree its a bit confusing, although the image looks cut off, but the guy put context to it by saying turn left to right which is correct. Turning anticlockwise when looking at the truss rod is right to loosen it, as is turning left to right when facing the headstock. Back when I was a beginner many moons ago, if someone said turn the truss rod clockwise or anticlockwise I would have no idea what they were talking about. But see both sides.

Removing the silk-screened logo from a squier

Wd40 also does the same thing. Obviously only works on non lacquered headstocks. -
Slightly misleading info here. Only the early cv, the pino version had tonerider pups, everything since have been fender designed.
