1.
Do stacked pots actually change the sound of the bass much? I always liked the look of them... Oh, and are the maple necks on US Jazzes laquered these days? That one looks unlaquered, which is the one thing that annoys me slightly about my Sadowsky.
those stacked pots do look cool i agree, the only difference is a seperate volume & tone for each pup,it only makes a subtle difference really. the neck on mine as finnished in a satin/matt finnish. btw it's not a patch on the Bacchus.
 2. my Jazz is absolutley the best bass i've ever owned,it plays like a dream & it's built quality is second to none. i took it to my local jam session last night & it drew many comments for both its sound & playability. infact my brother (he's a guitarist by the way--sorry) is an avid Fender collector but after seeing my jazz is now wanting a Bacchus strat' & a tele'. Jazz bass perfection. Chris if you are ever in the Harrogate area you're more than welocme to call in & have a go.
 3. cool looking bass,very nice
 4.
I would love to put my nose in between 'em and go motorboating...would probably break my shnoz but it would be damn worth it!
i'll have one of what ever your drinking mate
 5. thanks for the comments guys, much appreciated. i have to say the Bacchus far outshines the Fender in all aspects & it's handbuilt too,i really can't express how good this bass is. if you get the chance to try on you'll really want one too.
 6. after much swapping & trading i think i'm finally happy -- er well for now. i've only the two basses now & really love both of them althought one is far better than the other one. here's a group pic' first up my 2006 MIA Fender Jazz with the S1 swapped for nice stacked knob jobbies & the stock pickups swapped for a pair of Dimazzio ultra jazz's (thanks to Chrisdabass & Clarky respectivley) i bought this new in 2006 & then sold it on here & after a couple of owners i bought it back off Clarky & i'm mighty pleased i did. nice bass indeedy,in fact the nicest modern Fender jazz i've ever played. next up my Lurvley Bacchus "62" jazz bass i just traded this from another B'C'er (thanks eubassix) & have to say this is the very best jazz bass i've ever played-infact i'd go as far as to say it is the very best bass i've ever played period. i'd not heard of Bacchus before but this is built better than any Fender i've ever owned/seen & i've had some nice ones,it absolutley knocks the spots of my Fender in both playabillity & sound--it is AWESOME,must buy some more someday. cheers.
 7. as the origional owner/blinger if i had the cash spare i'd buy this back in an instant,it is the best MIM P i ever played & it's a real bargain too

 9.
I have one of these - same as Artisan's but rosewood - and I do really like it but the lack of passive switching is a serious weakness. Artisan, I remember you were looking into adding a passive switch. Did nothing come of that?
i thought about that, then wiring the bass fully passive but decided i didn't want to butcher a perfectly good bass + i prefer the sound of my passive Jazz especially my Bacchus--now that is a nice bass. i do miss the P dlx a little bit just for it's looks but i much prefer my jazz's.
 10.
lovely to play, thought this was your baby?
well so did i,but i just don't like active basses-they just don't sound "natural" to my lug 'oles
 11. i just trader my MIA deluxe for Davids Bacchus Jazz, cracking deal with no hassle & a real gent' to boot.
 12.
Bollocks
sorry,i forgot how much you liked this at the bass bash, maybee i should have pm'd you. but it's gone to a good home now.
 13.
Holy sh*t that's one sexy bass... too bad I can't afford it until I've sold some other things. So I hope you have a good trade!
thanks Matt, looks like it's going today though. thanks for the interest people

 15.
any idea on a cash price mate?
PM'd
 16.
now thats a pretty bass!!
very kind of you to say so Chris, cheers
 17. hi guys, this bass is fooking lovely but it's also active & i just don't like active basses (so why did i buy it ) i bought it new from PMT in Leeds last november/december,it looks & plays superb with just about any tone available form it's onboard preamp. build quality is 2nd to none--i kid you not--this bass is flawless & finished to perfection, plus it's got 22 frets instead of the usual Fender 20. it is currently strung with La Bella extra light flats but i can stick the stock Fender rounds on it if you wish,it'll come with it's origional hard case etc too. over the last couple of months i've considered having it converted to a fully passive bass (hence why i withdrew it last time) but it seems a shame to butcher such a nice bass & i'm shure a lot of players prefer active basses anyway so i thought sod it lets trade for a nice passive Fender instead. time for some photo's p.s. neck whole bass & neck is unmarked so please excuse just my sh*te photography i'm looking to trade it for a nice MIA Jazz bass,4 string only & must be passive but i'd consider a good MIA P bass too. ideally a 2008 spec Jazz is my first choice but i'll consider any good offer. alternately if you wish to buy this bass outright the price is £700.00 cash, cheers, now stop gawking & start buying art'
 18. hi,would you fancy a deal with this little beauty 2008 Fender American Deluxe P bass it's only 6 months old and mint.
 19. i can't believe that no one's bought this yet, mine sold in minutes. a fantastic bass at a bargain price.
 20.
Had the pleasure of meeting-up with Neil recently to buy a bass. Instrument was (is) excellent and exactly as described, and had a great bass-chat and a cup of coffee. Highly recommended BC'er !!
right back at ya cheers
 21. thanks for all the interest & offers guys but this is now sold.
 22.
Ampeg USA B210 combo + £? Trace AH200 Ser6 head + 1153 cab £?
the Ampeg combo + £ sounds very interesting, which model is it ?
 23.
Would you split?
no sorry it'd be the whole lump, cheers.
 24. ok i'm thinking of moving onto a smaller light weight combo as since i bought this rig it's hardly ever been used,3 lously gigs is all its done--pathetic or what ? it's not even used for practice as the rooms we use have amps supplied & if i use it in the house it'll probably demolish the bloody place. the head is fitted into a Gator 3U shallow flight case. the rig sounds awesome but hey it's just sitting there collecting dust so it may just as well go, not really shure how much to ask for it so make me a sensible offer. price is £6**.00 collected only. (i will confirm price later today as i have offered it to a fellow bc'er already & will give him first chance)
