    Geddy Lee pedal

Just got one of these from gear4music on Saturday,£236 on my vip account 😁 Used it on Saturday night & am very impressed indeed. I play classic rock so always have overdrive on my bass, previous I used the drive on my MT900 head but was never over happy with the sound, but with the YYZ I dialed on a glorious tone that really thundered through. When coupled to my Darkglass AOU it proper kicked donkey 😁 Even the drummer commented on it 😲
  4. First gig done on Saturday night in Doncaster & after a slight bit of apprehension after playing Jazz basses for yonks it was fantastic. So nice to play & the sound wow,it just really filled out the band's sound so much better, really meaty bass helped along my various overdrives, killer rock bass sound. I may just convert to P basses & ditch the J's.
  5. I usually play a Jazz bass but find this very comfortable indeed. I'm sure it's not as chuncky as the 50's classic I used to own
  6. I've got a rather nice PPI payout from my bank so just had to treat myself. The problem I had was just bringing one bass home as I almost brought a Gibson Les Paul junior bass home too 😁
  7. Sounds very good at home but I won't get to hear it with the band until next Saturday
  8. Thanks guys 👍 She is a thing of beauty for sure
  9. Well it was Tuesday actually. I had been fancying a P bass for a while now so popped into Gear4music to check out a Player series P. However they didn't have any on display so I checked on their fancy screen thingy & spotted the Vintera range, mmmm had to check it out. To me it looks beautiful, seems to be very well made, plays & sounds excellent too.(it was also substantially cheaper than the classic 50's P bass they have in stock) Over all I am very happy with it,although I've yet to play it with the band but I'm sure it will be mint 🤣🤣
  10. Lol thanks for the replies chaps, much appreciated & made me laugh. Actually ended been a cracking night. My method was to ask in a rather harsh manner " where the f#$k am I supposed to go then, the f@cking car park" (yes I can be quite blunt) Suddenly in a flurry of movement several items where moved & hey presto I had some space 😁 They are great guys though
  11. Setting up for tonights gig & sure enough I am shoved into a corner out of the way. The singers leads monitor etc are right where my pedal board should be. Of course the rest of the band have all the room they could want. Why is it always thus ?
  12. I recorded this using my Alpha Omega Ultra staight into the desk. Full Omega with drive on full & blend at 11 o'clock. I set the graphic eq with a mid hump. It sounds huge,I really like it & the engineer absolutely loved it too,in fact he didn't alter anything just added some compression.
  13. Cheers, they did some awesome tunes
  14. It was recorded by the studio engineer with one gimbal mounted SLR. We had to play through it a few times lol We recorded the audio a few weeks beforehand 😁
  15. After playing in various bands for the past 35 years my current band have recorded a decent video of a Black Sabbath cover."Lord of this World" Please have a watch & feel free to comment. Ta

    Compressors

Same here & it is awesome
  17. I'm in a Black Sabbath covers band so i use heavy distortion on certain tunes & the AOU replaced two other pedals. If you check out my other posts on here we recorded a Sabbath tune a few weeks back,my bass tone on that is total killer.
  18. And I didn't believe them until i watched this. Jack Sabbath warts and all 😁😁😁😁😁
  19. I've not tried the B7K so I can't comment. Sorry. But I do love the AOU
  20. Thanks for all the comments on this guys it's very much appreciated
  21. Thank you so much 👍 You know we never thought of contacting a tribute agency,I'll have to check that out, cheers
