Bit obscure....unless you lived in Espana in the 80's ...but I was taken to a concert by this group, by my then spanish girlfriend, they looked like the biggest bunch of miserable, scruffy, surly spanish waiters straight out of Llorett and turned up looking like they had just been doing a 12 hour shift and doing the dishes afterwards......but my god could they play, one of those jaw dropping experiences.....don't know what happended to them, but by Spainish std's they were a supergroup back then.

and this group were almost never seen so no ones too sure if they looked bad, but the lead singer always looked to me like he needed a good dinner from the record's jacket ...strange thing about this song, my late friend was working on the London Underground fire alarm system, came across a busker singing this to a backing tape of this song and had one of the "who's on bass" conversations, asked him who is was by originally "two People" "yeah but what's the name of the group" "two people" "yeah, you just said that, but who by" "two people" "yeah but..."

was just cleaning a car, listerning to Absolute 80's, (it's either that or talksport!) and this came on....great bassline ...if you like 80's basslines...by King...slap that Stingray! wow, these guys can really play!

Gentleman, ....only bought this very recently of Tom 1946, but after only a couple of hours of playing I know it's just not for me. She is a genuine MIM 2009 upgrade model in what I think is the best colour combo, I was hours away from buying new in the exact same colour combo'! more pics to follow, £325 is money back and it certainly is as described by Tom. Also anyone know what would be a good bridge to put on it? one that will fit without too much trouble.[/quote] Nothing wrong with the bridge on a 374, it's a lovely big diecast slab like job, not a bit of bent tin like a Fender or a Squier, I should know I have a VMJ and Fender P bass To be honest I wouldn't spend too much money on it, if any, you may be dissapointed with the results, the std hardware is real sweet....good tuners the finish on them is sublime and mine simply refused to go out of tune, ohh and they have some very hot pups std, with good range EQ...unless you go to TRB or high end BB you may not notice the difference for pound per tone. ...as I said if you a change 'slap' a set of those EB flats on it....they have a real smooooooooooth silky feeling and make the tone much like an 'old' P bass...or dare I say less Hi-Fi...the RBX can sound a little 'bright' with those std D'Addario Blue strings, but, amazingly you can still slap them EB's, if you crank up the treble and put the pan pot over onto the bridge pup you can get some great sounds out of them. ....see you have a BB414 too, good choice of basses you have there...

I put a set of Ernie Ball Group III flat wounds on mine and liked it even more.....great basses.

My lovely MIM 2009 P bass is making my left wrist ache, 20 mins of Chic's Everybody Dance and its quite sore I had the same trouble with the 80's Stingray 4 I borrowed. The necks feel fairly similar to my hands? what say ye learned ones? cheers

don't know what Sketch Martin is 'playing' here, but it must of run into something sharp as it took a right dig out of his headstock...Aria, or some other Matsumoko built bass I'm guessing?

....a newly aquired Fender P bass, a lovely VMJ and a BB414....the BB has the strap fitted and still my 1st choice :wub:
