1. ...Bruce Springsteen - Radio Nowhere?
2. Anyone know where one replacement saddle for a Hohner The Jack Custom can be found? for a reasonable price? thank you
3. liking it a lot Tom, would it be possible to come and check it out? whereabouts are you based? John
4. and...it's mine, mine all mine! (at least until crimble, when my youngest gets his first bass:) A huge thank you to James, a top man to deal with
5.
I wondered about that recently too when setting up a pedalboard. It's weird to us because our language goes that way, right? If we spoke Arabic, Hebrew etc it would seem perfectly sensible.
lead comes out of instrument on right, so, goes into righthand side of pedal...one less thing to trip over (if you're righthanded, of course)
6. :-) (three decades at least!) oh well, at least my memory's not as bad as I thought it was!
7. Fleece & Firkin at a guess? (decades since I've been there though!)
8. I've seen WEM amps and cabs realise good prices on t'bay...can't think why, only one I ever played through sounded like it had paper mache speaker cones !!
9. Introduced to him via Thomas Dolby's cover of I Scare Myself. The 'Last Train To Hicksville' has left the station, I will miss him now he's gone away. RIP Dan :'-(
10. I always find these statements funny.....
I always find these statements funny. I wonder just how high a percentage of all macs are now bitcoin mines without the owner's knowledge because of this assumption…
.......uh, I'd assume none!
I ran MacScan last week but no bitcoin mines came up. Perhaps I should be worried...
I certainly wouldn't be worried :-) .......and what's this got to do with CBG....a very nice selection of gear & a useful heads up on what looks to be a good shop!
11. just been reminded of another one that gets me every time- 'to be honest', or, 'to tell you the truth'. Are we to then assume everything else said by these people is a lie?
12.
Assuming you're driving in the UK, you measure your speed in miles per hour. You'd feel pretty silly if that meant that you couldn't travel for any longer than an hour and you needed to get from Birmingham to Edinburgh.
Sorry, I don't see the relevance of what you're saying here? & why would I be limited to one hour?
13.
Same thing, surely?
400 parts of 100?......still seems illogical to me. (but I guess not to others?) anyway, it's just one of those 'terms and phrases' I personally dislike
14. I promised myself I wouldn't get too involved in this, but, in response to icastle, no I wouldn't use 110% to indicate an increase any more than I would score something as 11 out of 10! & tauzero, if a cake had increased in price by four times it's original price...then it's an increase of four times, not 400%. However, my waistline has increased by eating too much cake! Oh, and to keep on topic....fill out this form? I usually fill IN forms. And the constant addition of 'for' in front of 'free', whats wrong with just 'free' or 'for nothing' ?
15.
That one does bug me! 100% is optimum. 110% is just inefficient.
I suppose I should point out that anything over 100% isn't really logical. % = per cent = one part in a hundred. Ergo, NOT one part in a random number MORE THAN a hundred. Oh, and not 'percent' either (unless you're American). I could say I'm not normally this pedantic,....but I am
16. My personal fav, Amazing Slow Downer; http://www.ronimusic.com/amsldox.htm and just come across this one...not had a chance to try it yet, but certainly looks like it might do the trick http://anytune.us/ good luck :-)
17. What's the same link??? There is no link in BigRedXs original post......! & I get the 'mist' (manure) but a bit lost with 'Triumph Herald'....where's the humour in that?
18.
See my original post in this thread.
Sorry, don't see the relevance of your first post to mine. Maybe I'm just being thick?
19.
Is it worse than this? http://vaginaguitars.com
I think those guys were just being polite?! These on the other hand..... http://www.thomann.d...tz_guitars.html
20. Latency is the major issue. I've not tried Google Hangouts, but have used Skype and found it to be unworkable due to the time delays I'll be watching this thread with great interest to see if anyone comes up with a good solution I was hoping for something to have been added to Logic X, but as they didn't, I'm sticking to Logic 9 for now. I'm sorry I can't add anything helpful to the thread myself. John.
