I think I've seen that cab somewhere before...! I thoroughly enjoyed using it. Thanks Alex for allowing us the opportunity to do so. Enjoy it WoT, and let us know how it copes with your punishing itinerary! P.S. Love to know how it sounds with the RH450.

It's a classic case of swings and roundabouts... If you buy and old, used, cheap cab and get it couriered then yes - the shipping might be as much as the cab itself! But as the value of the item increases, so the relative cost of the shipping gets less! I shipped an extremely heavy Ampeg head (as heavy as many cabs!) to Eire and it came to less than forty quid, even including enhanced insurance. At the end of the day, if you want something but can't collect it yourself, then you have to pay someone else. Think of it this way - its still cheaper than driving there and back!

I got my Cort Corbow 5 from Thomann. It lists at around £500 but I got it (last September) for £322 (with free shipping!). For the price its a great bass - very playable, if slightly limited in it's tonal range. Fortunately, its basic tone is good and very "usable". Looks are a bit strange TBH - I like it, but I know that others hate it! Just another suggestion to mull over!

Quality tones and loads of volume at a budget price. Not so many around second hand at the moment, but with such a low new price it may not be worth waiting for one to come up... I like loud, but of course you can be too loud. The playing pissed isn't a good sign either...

Actually, we've just bought a load of Ikea furniture and still have most of the cardboard and polystyrene! Would you be able to collect it from West Moor?

As long as they are the same or similar gauge as the ones that are one there... if not, you might need to tweak the action/truss rod etc... They're your basses - do what you like with them!

So how come with all that gear, his sound is essentially the same for every track?
