1. My advice would be to get a Roadworn Precision and a second hand Roadworn JB neck. Or a full Roadworn JB. They are cheap and excellent instruments. You switch the necks and you can play a Precision with a delicious slim JB neck I own a 62 JB and a Fiesta Red Roadworn Precision. Sometimes i switch and have the P sound without changing my way of playing (i am a JB addict). Otherwise you can get this custom-shop postmodern. P with a JB neck
2. Yes completly. Till the late 60s, the decal was applied on top of the clear coat as Leo F. did. Your "Jaco" is a 62 reissue so it is period correct. I own several reissues, 62' JB and a 63' PB, it is the same thing. Take care of your headstock Check this https://books.google.fr/books?id=rC2X0BiF2ZMC&pg=PA1999-IA6&lpg=PA1999-IA6&dq=the+bass+decal+was+applied+on+top+of+the+clear+coat+as+Leo+fender&source=bl&ots=eam4c8EWj1&sig=lxFTvpVAFl3nmUV8Ffql-x6ZE0I&hl=fr&sa=X&ved=0ahUKEwjNs6CgyefOAhVjIJoKHTdRA7oQ6AEIHDAA#v=onepage&q=the%20bass%20decal%20was%20applied%20on%20top%20of%20the%20clear%20coat%20as%20Leo%20fender&f=false
3. Standart length/scale fits all PB, JB style instruments. No need to buy something else in your case. Super Long scale are for special instruments : strings through body, or electro-acoustics (Takamine B10), or longer diapason basses. I think you reach the end of your search May the groove be with you
4. As you are playing Labella 45-95, if you want to find a known feeling, i think it is better to choose 60-115. The strings are bigger (especially 115 E string) but the tension can compared to 45-105 standart rounds or 45-95 standart flats. Bigger strings also give warmer, darker notes. I am fond of that
5. When i ordered my Labella black nylon strings, i took a 50-105 gauge as i thought it would be like a standart roundwounds gauge feel. But Black nylons are designed and built differently so my advice, if you come from roundwounds, would be to choose a 60-115 gauge to refind the same tension. I like to play my labella black nylons 50-105 gauge but it is a little too flexible for me. I hope it will help
6. I bought Labella nylon strings, white and black, to compare. Here my point of view For the sound, white nylons have this high frequencies top end that Black ones have not. Blacks sound warmer.. For the feel under fingers, Labella Black nylon strings are smooth, it slides a lot. Whereas Labella White nylons are rough to the touch, i like it. It reminds roundwounds. Remark : Labella Black nylon and Fender Black nylon are very different. Sound and feel For Labella nylon strings this video is cool https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tPDDigVmVFc
7. Whatever color it is, you groove much better with a Fiesta Red Road Worn Precision I prove it with this Live. Laurent Vernerey on Bass https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DFnX5HDq4Bk
8.
That's quite a commitment to the Road Worn cause. Impressive.
Yes To play an instrument i need to have a crush on it I mainly play JBs so when i pick up a Precision it must be a uncommon one I like these videos https://youtu.be/yvLMiNDQB4I https://youtu.be/QZY96eMBAmA
9. i love these basses. I play a 2009 Road worn PB In Fiesta Red, they look really great. With Flats you get the old classic sound as the stock pick up can be compared to the best PUs As i dig so much this bass, i bought last year a 63' American Reissue rosewood neck. Maple or Rosewood, it gives a wider range, 2 PB in 1 With a reissue white tolex case. It deserves it With a tortoise pick and a rosewood neck
10.
.... I'm lovin it.

Lovely! But, erm... lollipops? How?
Thank you, fellow groovers Yours are great too This JB has a busy life before me. "She" resonates so much, my first choice fretless for gigs I also love the lollipops tuners. i got it like that. Deliciously unusual Here my 1993 Warwick Thumb 6
11. You made the right choice Beautiful 3TS sunburst. Fine instruments : quality parts, period correct details, beautiful colors etc... I love the neck, thin and wide like the old ones. Less expensive than a Custom Shop as you already have the Relic look. But in your case, a REAL Relic/Road Worn status With Flats it is delicious. I also stare at the Faded Blue version sometimes
12. Splendid ! These headstocks are gorgeous. It is not easy to succeed in creating a different headstock without copying the original (but in the same spirit).
13. American vintage 62 Jbs are usually lighter than Mexican Classic 60s and have a better "lutherie" as skej21 said. If i had to choose a Mexican JB, i would get a Road worn JB. Even better, a SECOND HAND Road worn JB. Excellent instrument for the price. Try one, you will not be disapointed. My advice

Somewhere between PB, Musicman Sabre and Stingray. Roadster addicted...
20. Roadworn basses are the best "cheap" instruments i found for years. I bought a second hand Fiesta Red PB and ordered a 63 US Reissue Rosewood neck + a cool white tolex case on a US site. I have 2 basses in 1. I am not afraid anymore of going to gig with a expensive vintage instrument. And the best... it sounds almost as good as the 50s, 60s original Here it is
21. Yes i understand you, thebassist 1972 JB are great. The more they have been battered all these years, the more they sound Now i take care of "her", old lady If i had to keep only one bass, it would be this one
For anyone else interested - reply from Moollon below (very quick to get back to me): Thank you so much for your inquiry regarding the Moollon P-Classic IV (...)
The Molloon's guy sent you a PRIVATE email. I don't think it is wise to post it here, a PUBLIC forum. Customers services will know it and will watch at Moolon shipping closely. We will all lose Could you all edit your post ?
25.
The eagle has landed! Another cracker from Mark. 66 Jazz in Shoreline Gold, b&b rosewood neck, and both parchment and tort s/ps which I can't decide between! What would you do? My only grumble is that its such a great colour but it doesn't come out in pics properly... Looks gold in the flesh but almost silver in photos!
Yes the Shoreline Relic looks great. I really like this two picts. I think it deserves a better camera, light and time to pay tribute to this great choice color Lucky spiltmilk ! I am staring at this white lady. Quite well. I only wish the frets could be thinner
