1. I find the Boss FT2 ticks most of the boxes for me,I also have the MXR but It's the FT2 which is my go to filter.
2. I know, I've had the damn thing long enough, unfortunately auto correct does not. And I can't find my damn bins, pfft, 😎
3. The bass I've played the most ,and is my go-to is my Squire 2004 PJ bought buy my missis for me with her first bonus, and incedentally was my first lefty bass (I've been playing since 1978) I had to relearn all my bands set list in under a week as I'd been playing everything backwards) but I'm ok now 😓😨😨😨 I've since acquired a Sandberg and other higher end basses.see profile pic Apologies ....damn auto correct and lack of bins.😀
4. @fleabag in all honesty mate ,if you follow the route I took they will more than likely cave in and give you a refund, They aren't that good when they're threatened with the legals. Good luck Trev.
5. Yes, I've had dealings with him, tried to sell me a bass at cost just to harvest the neck to replace the one they buggered up,I used to visit the shop regularly as I lived quite near in the past, not been in since they buggered up the truss rod on my Squire P bass back in 08
6. I've had dealings with this bunch before, despite numerous phone calls and visits to said shop they were rather stubborn and tried to fob me off ,what did work was a phone call to trading standards (apparently this shop has form and are well known to the local branch of T.S),I was instructed to send a letter (recorded delivery) explaining their shortcomings and sharp practices and giving them 48hrs to respond otherwise I'd take this down the legal route. Addressed the letter to the director's Issue was resolved within 24 hrs.
7. The band I'm with has a limit of 2/3 gigs a month, We pick and choose our gigs as we are a functions outfit with occasional pub gigs to trial new songs. Also other members have commitments outside of the band which keeps up the energy for gigs , rehearsals are booked well in advance and everyone has their homework to do before practice ,time is money after all,😀 It works out just fine for us I'm 59 this year and started playing in my late teens, and the oldest in the band by a long chalk , it's still working out ok for me, I suppose it's about getting the balance right , Oh and lightweight gear is a must......looking for a barefaced as the TC electronic is a tad bulky 😋
8. Sorry, I'm no help whatsoever-Gas has hit me hard and I've developed an overwhelming urge to get my mitts on one of those Marcus Miller Sire Basses and a Barefaced Cab I feel your pain.

19.
I too had Hofner Artist. I paid £30 if i recall correctly, which was about two week wages. It was quite playable although imperfect in intonation at the dusty end. I gave it to a friend when I got a Hayman 4040 for about £100.
Yes mine has issues with intonation at the dusty end too, It also has a problem staying in tune- although I don't play it enough for it to be a problem.
20. Mine was a Hofner Artist-I bought it in 1978 off a mate for a fiver, It came in bits as a project, as I'm cack handed I had to modify it a bit I still have it and occasionally plug it in the one in the pic is how it should look.
21. Interesting, I used to live up Halliwell, Or lower smithills as it was known in the estate agents. I went to smithills moor grammar school back in the day.
