I have the cast metal Ampeg badge as featured in the top left of their SVT cabs. THis one is for the 410 HLF but pretty sure they'll all be standard size. Bought from USA on fliptops but sold the cab before i got it. Doesnt come with screws Can be collected from Bolton or i can post for a couple of quid

Hot Covers for me. Do like Roqsolid but their prices are ridiculous

Need these gone. Theres a cab advertised locally that I want (need) and is attracting a fair bit of interest. The mrs is being steadfast in her rules - old toys must go before new toys come in If someone wants the pair - the combo AND the extension cab and can collect from Bolton ill take £150 -

Squier Vintage Modified Precision bass TB. This is basically the Squier version of the ’72 telebass with the big walloping Seth Lover humbucker right by the neck (Fender branded BTW). These come in sunburst with black scratchplate but I got our very own Bass Doc to knock me up a 3ply white plate to make the bass look more authentic. I also added period correct telebass/’51 style bridge cover, tug bar (in correct ‘under G string position) and Fender flatwound (9050CL’s) strings before giving it a basic set-up. No marks, dings, knocks etc at all and plays like a dream. The satin neck is nice and quick and there aren’t any buzzes or choked notes. The output is huge and I sometimes plug into the Active input on my SVT to tame it a little. Ive not lowered the pup fully so guess that could be done too. I will supply the original black scratchplate as well as the white one. I dont have a hardcase (I can probably dig a gig bag out from somewhere). I had one of these with the exact same mods a few years back and sold it on here. Regretted it, bought another, recreated the same look….then fell head over heals for a black Jack Casady Epi bass hence the sale. Id really like collection in view of no hardcase but I can package up the bass safely and offer couriered delivery for £20. If you are localish I can deliver myself. Im after £175 + Postage. Work blocks hosting sites so I can email any interested BCers. This bass really is immaculate.

Early Ashdown MAG 300 1x15 combo. Carpet covered and made in UK. Bought this to save me lugging my SVT up two flights of stairs and was really impressed with it. Ive had Ashdown stuff before and whilst ive always loved the tone I always felt they just didn’t put out the volume they claimed – not with this one tho! With my flats loaded P bass it had a nice thick and full sound. I easily eliminated my sometimes brittle top end Flats and Pick player) with a tiny bit of the Sub Harmonic feature. It has done me proud for a cheapish Gumtree buy. I also have a MAG 1x15 Deep extension cab (not UK made) that I have paired with it for even more volume and bottom end thump. Covering on this is slightly more pulled but certainly not ‘road worn’ or owt. Its in good working condition but has one or two small pulls on the carpet covering. The handle has also started to perish but still works fully and Ashdown now sell replacements on their site for about £6. Collection only from Bolton on this or could deliver within reasonable distance (just ask, i travel a bit so you never know). Once I find a picture hosting site that isn’t blocked by work ill upload pics. Can email in meantime if needed £120 for the combo or £180 for combo and cab? -
To be honest, since I used an Ampeg rig back in the day I've been trying to replicate 'that' sound. Various sims and pedals can get you very close, but there's nothing like the visceral experience of a real fridge behind you. I've kind of accepted that if I want that sound again the only way to get it is to buy (and haul) another Ampeg rig.
This. Plain and simple

I had one of these a while back and loved the feel and tone. However the one major thing that led me to sell it was the placement of the pickup. To say it didnt line up with the strings was an understatement! The E string was so far off the pole peice that the note kind of 'bloomed' - as in the initial pluck didnt register but then a millisecond of so after the note bloomed out. Question is do other players of this bass have this or did i just get a dog?

Orange Crush 50w BXT Bass combo. Bought off here just last week but we have since moved to our own rehearsal space so I get to store and use my SVT now rather than have to lug it to each rehearsal. As such this is up for sale. One small dint on the front of the combo at the top and one of the rubber feet has been pushed into the amp. Could easily be relocated and doesn’t affect the amps working condition at all. Paid £65 for it so just looking for this back ideally. Im based in Bolton but can deliver locally if needed. Trials welcome as always.

Had numerous covers off them but they have just gone so expensive that i just use Hot Covers now. Never had an issue with Roqsolid (they sent an icorrect cover once but sorted easily enough) its just their prices have gone stupid!
