  1. I wonder if Brex** has anything to do with stock delays on the continent. Or if they’re just caught up in the wider supply chain delays (which let’s face it, is more likely). I’m quite tempted by the Digbeth pre pedal and also contemplating the DB200 head as a “little gig” option. It’s down to £299 at Andertons now, and in stock….
  2. Absolutely agree about The Art Of Losing, superb bit of work. Also enjoying Weight Of The World by Florence Black and Tell Your Girls It’s Alright by The Dead Deads 🙂 edit - ooh and the Wildhearts album!
  3. Bloody hell, so sorry to read this. Condolences to all family and friends. What a shitty world we live in.
  4. Yep nothing extreme at all! Give Ashdown a buzz or drop them an email
  5. So apart from a supposedly clever cable (presume a series/parallel type option) what is different from normal speaker cabs and matching up a few to make a rig…?
  6. What are all your various EQ/drive/comp/sub settings? The clip LED will be affected by all of these…
  7. Debating whether two (differently flavoured) octavers is overkill. Got the MXR recently as wasn’t always 100% happy with the Okto side of the Emma Electronics pedal, but now it’s been on the board for a few weeks I’m missing the Nøjs side of the Emma… Hmm.
  8. My Finn 5 has a 30” radius, it’s great. Though I’d be very hard pushed to tell the difference between that and my flat Skelf 5er 😅
  9. It’s fine. The valve is in the preamp; it’s valve power stages (or, actually, any power stage with an output transformer) which needs a load. This uses MOSFETs so will be fine seeing an infinite impedance.
  10. Mark changed to Markbass about 2 years ago, after a gig in Quebec where his TC head failed (not for the first time by all accounts) and he got whizzed off. He literally emailed Markbass as he flew back to the UK and they had the endorsement sorted within weeks. I know this coz the drummist in my band is the L42 drum tech 🤓
  11. Yep. Mrs Mert has the horses; I just happened to be the wallet to pay for that. And then pay to get it through an MOT. And soon will pay to get the bodywork touched up in various places. Definitely not the best purchase of the year 😅
  12. You know, that’s not a bad shout. It would be better at that than it is at its primary purpose 😬
  13. I’ve had the pleasure of playing this recently. It’s exceptional
  14. How is it with active basses? I notice the Andertons website mentions “not suitable for use with active guitar pickups” so wondered if this was an impedance thing? P.S. I’ve been a very happy G30 user for at least 8 years now. Got a little pouch which stops the dodgy battery compartment flying open and keeps the whole unit secure on my strap. But seeing the XU2 has made me ponder a change, as it could offer me a simple chance to slim down my pedalboard 😅
  15. Excellent cab and excellent price
  16. The new Trace Elliot TE-1200, if it ever gets released, has dual band compression on it
  17. Love everything about this
  18. Sounds bang on to me 😀
  19. Never mind the speaker, what’s that bottle of wine like? 😜 Ahem. As ever excellent work and look forward to seeing all the other info appear
  20. Ooooh. You’re only a few miles up the road from me. This could be problematic 😅
  21. Not as bad as the ABM but not as quiet as my Glock…
  22. Haha I saw your same comment on that picture of the new Little Bastard 2N on Facebook 😆
  23. You know your rehearsal rooms! It's a great place isn't it
  24. Nice one! They really are great cabs 🙂
