1. Mine's just arrived, gutted I didn't wait a few days for this but there you go
2. Great little amps, good luck with the sale
3. Dave, I've just pulled the trigger on the MB Fusion...... Just to confuse you perhaps further It should arrive tomorrow
4. I gig an MB200 regularly with a Barefaced Vintage (formerly) or now a Super12. Seems to have enough power for me but I also have the MB Fusion incoming coz I want vaaaaaalves!
5. Sold a GK MB500 to Pete, absolute pleasure to do business with you and would gladly do so again! Enjoy the amp
6.
Sometimes get confused with knives and forks.
Me too. Weird, innit?
7. Bugger, I want to buy an MB Fusion at the mo. if you change your mind and want to sell, hit me up
8. Sounds similar to a problem I had with an old Trace V-Type combo, weird earth design on the preamp fixed by adding another cap on the supply rail or something. They're very similar preamps, maybe the same issue?
9. I am left handed for writing but right handed for everything else, kinda ambidextrous but not quite!
10.

This. Impeccable taste sir
11. Yes the Compact will have enough grunt, whatever that is I have an S12 (and prior to that had a Barefaced Vintage) and they are monstrous sounding cabs
12. Great rock player! Not heard the album but I can bet it sounds great. 5 strings rock, buy one
13. Eden on hold, GK sold
14. Needs to move to the For Sale section
15.
I'm sure I read somewhere, that cabs can also be wired such that the linking of two together is in series and not a parallel. How would you know? There is nothing on the cabs to state what kind of wiring has been used for the link socket.
For all amps and cabs assume parallel wiring unless stated (some Eden Nemesis gear, for example, has an internal speaker and an external speaker socket wired in series). Series wiring won't cause any problems to a solid state amp, as you'll be increasing the impedance load seen by the amp rather than decreasing it.
16. I like your description! I'm surprised it hasn't gone too, is the price in the right ballpark? Pics of the MB500, no idea what the EQ's doing
17. Sorry for a second bump within a few hours, but the more I think about it the more I wish I'd bought the MBFusion to begin with instead of the MB500. Not that the MB500 is bad (it's brilliant!) but I fancy the slightly different tnal character of the MBFusion. So, the Eden is here at £450 shipped to mainland UK, or £440 colelcted. I am also now selling my MB500, which is is as near as dammit new and includes everything you'd expect EXCEPT the box (i.e. head, footswitch, manual, power lead). This is £350 shipped to mainland UK or £340 collected. No trades unless you have the sacred MBFusion
18. Have a bump - great head, great price, surprised it's still here
19. If I had the choice I'd go custom
20. Bump. £450 delivered mainland UK, £440 cash on collection, or (very long shot) trade for a GK MB Fusion Had some interest but no bites, also had some interesting trade offers but nothing that I need right now, the only thing which would sway me is the MBFusion
21. Great amp - I heard whynot's at the weekend. Sounds delicious. I hope Dave buys it so I don't get tempted again
22. What sort of gigs are you doing where a 500W 2x12 won't sound big enough?! Eden maybe? Or sk8's Purple Chilli, same sort of vibe as the Markbass you have but 2 ohm capable
23. They're still Ceramic magnets, not neo, but they use lighter ply instead of whatever depleted-Uranium lined stuff they used to use. I like the new cabs more than the old cabs but I've not used the new heads.
24. Just picked up Alan's Super 12T, fantastic guy, fantastic player and a dead easy deal. Thanks
25.
My SWR400 runs VERY hot...you'd jump if you put your hand on it. No fan needed either.. It was built and designed that way...altho later models had a fan, IIRC. I always think amps that can do this are built very well with good materials.
Yep, plus 1; I recall a conversation with Trace Elliot about the Commando combo being designed to run hot when I was a spotty teenager and didn't understand these things. Equally my hifi amp is a heavily biased A-B design which runs so hot I had to rethink it's use and position when my son started to crawl (seriously!); I'd hope (and expect) the Kilo to be designed as such. Doubt Hartke would have let it slip through after so long in pre-production.
