  1. Surprised this is still here. Such a good amp, very fair price and a great guy to deal with
  2. If this is still here in mid April I may be in trouble 😄
  3. Oh my that is delightful
  4. Very sad news indeed Dealt with Nick on a couple of occasions and he was always an absolute gent. Thoughts with his family and friends.
  5. I’ve not checked in with Martin for ages tbh, I know he was close to getting the prototype tested with local players but it’s been a while! Will ask
  6. Cracking amp. Super clean and hi fi, but the drive control really adds colour and the EQ is incredibly powerful. Bargainous price too!
  7. Still trying to work out how to afford this 😅
  8. My ideal Fender P. If I played long scale any more I’d be in trouble! Plus @silverfoxnik is an absolute gent so you know you’re buying safe
  9. Nice! Another Hartke head incoming?
  10. Singer (who booked the gigs and then spread the money afterwards) stole £3.5k from us back in 2016. She was a childhood friend of both me and the guitarist. We haven’t spoken to her since.
  11. I often use a single BF 210 with a Trace Elliot Elf at rehearsals with the loudest drummer I know and I am too loud still
  12. TBH our drummist is a bit of a nightmare (hence making him vomit didn’t upset me 🤣) but we rein him in. Both breeds are bloody hard work when they want to be aren’t they!
  13. Dammit - just when I have no money and am trying to be good 😆
  14. My son has a Jet telecaster. It’s incredible for the money, and beat more expensive competition from Squier and Epiphone.
  15. Yup! Also meant I wasn’t getting home at 1.30am and unloading in the pouring rain before a long drive to Cornwall today. Every cloud 😃
  16. Tonight’s gig was awesome, and remarkably quiet. Got about 5 mins into my 25 min drive, then got a WhatsApp from the drummer - who was already at the venue - saying “stand down, they haven’t got the booking in their diary” FFS. So I turned around and went to the pub with the guitarist (also my bro in law).
  17. Absolutely right - we don’t normally get so silly, honest guv’. When I were a young’un I used to think ridiculously loud was the only way but it’s really nice to play in bands who can control the volume. Much better clarity on stage and an happier performance all round.
  18. Indeed! I doubt it will happen, but would prefer to be ready if it does…
  19. Pretty much. A few dates I can’t do (like the one Matt forgot to tell me about tonight 🤣) but will be filling bass shoes for most of them. Shame you can’t commit at the mo; in my opinion if you ever want to come back it’s your gig first and foremost 😎
  20. Fun gig in East Grinstead and a lovely outing for my glorious ACG Finn 5 which I keep mulling over selling then taking to a gig and going “fxxk me this is great”. Usual story with Matt starting off with good intentions following the set list only to get distracted and wander off playing songs either I or the guitarist didn’t know 😆 But we busked it and it seems no-one noticed or cared. Until the bar staff had to come and tell us to shut up at 11.30 because we should have stopped at 11…. Knackered 🤣 Edit for a pic:
  21. (For clarity, I made the drummer physically sick at last week’s rehearsal co if the high SPL … just for fun, y’know 😬)
  22. Time for the vomit-inducing rig to have two nights out:
