1. Is it just me that thought his vocals weren't that strong and didn't project very well ? he was also a bit low in the mix overall
2.
I'll have the db750 if its still around! T
After me, you're first......
3. How many other amps around here have been blessed ?
4. Oh yes, that'll do the job nicely
5. Bargain ! Happy christmas for someone right there !
6. Just fitted some deep talkin flats on the classic vibe P. Down went the action and Slip, sliding away, slip sliding away.......... More resonance that I expected too Happy bunny
7. What cab do you have Discreet ? the vicar's cab was 4 ohm, which allowed this head to breath properly.
8. aye, that be it just like that ! Thanks Discreet
9. Thanks Clarky, I'll get that sorted one day
10. Hi all, looking to fund a new amp, so a few things have to go A vicar in the next town retired from his band eariler this year and sold me this amp, making me the second owner (howsat for an opener). He had it paired with a 2x15 Peavey cab and it sounded HUGE. It's in very good condition (as you'd expect with that pedigree). It comes with an Ashdown cloth cover and is an easy one - handed carry. I'll put up some piccys as soon as possible. I'd be happy to meet local to London, or a bit further with some help for fuel £190.00
11. Thanks Clarky, I'm happy to pass on the good karma around this cab. It's a great cab, but a great amp calls, so it has to go !
12. Hi all, looking to fund an amp, so it's time to let a few things go Bought an EA Whizzy 12" from Clarky earlier this year. It's been used once for a living room practice since then and otherwise never left my house. I'd say it's in very good condition. I'll post a link to Clarky's thread once I can work out how, I'll sell it for £200.00 collected, which is the price I paid. I'm happy to deliver / meet local (ish) to London or a bit further with some help for petrol. I'll also be happy to arrange courier if required. Thanks all
13. PM sent re DB750
14.
know what you mean.... My AAA rig gets heavier every time I upgrade it....to the point that my B rig is TF550-B and 2 Berg NEO 112's. And I don't think I'll get any thanks for saying this...but my A rig slaughters it. Not that I am saying the B rig sucks... far from it.
Please specify AAA rig !
15. Seriously, listen to a whole range of stuff before you spend. There's a crowd of BC'ers that have been in your position and spent a mortgage trying to get 'their' sound back after selling their heavy rig.
16. Just rediscovered this one after several decades. Now having a proper party playing along and no mistake ! what a tune
17. Pm'd re speakon - speakon and jack - jacks
18. Guitarist in my current band says he often can't hear me. This is usually after he has turned up the PA and his amp to tinitus provocation levels. Doh.
19. Feel like the man finding the coca - cola bottle cap at the Egyptian burial site exploration........
20. Harks back to the days when a guitarist had to wallop seven bells out of his instrument to be heard, looks like pre - Les Paul era.
21. Visited Frank as we're more or less neighbours in BC terms. Had a cup and a chat and a good play of Frank's very nice P bass (which he won't sell). Good to meet our fellow BC'ers and swap stories I'd easily deal with Frank again Cheers Tom
22. My regular band plays at one of my work venues several times a year and colleagues come to watch, so known far and wide. Come to think of it, why not tell everyone ? aren't we all trying to get gigs left right and centre for our respective bands ? trying to increase our audience ?
