  1. That's some bass, Man. Enjoy πŸ€“ πŸ‘And thanks for posting the photo.
  2. Did you really ?😯 Whoa, kicking myself for missing that one 😣 Not that I'm jealous or anything πŸ˜₯
  3. That's a very nice example of a fine looking Spector. Has it sold yet?
  4. I'd say Frank Itt must be in the 'bass-facey' running too !πŸ˜‚ He's my hero πŸ‘‘πŸ†
  5. I'd love a five string 55-01 or a 55-02 with a maple fretboard and your blue example is a real beauty Timo ❀ Sadly funds depleted straight after Christmas 😞 otherwise I'd be knocking at your door !☺️ But I see you have a sale pending - hope it all goes well πŸ‘
  6. Cowboys and Angels, Jesus to a Child - George Michael. Whether you love or hate the guy, the man had talent
  7. Many thanks for replying and explaining 'things'. I apologise for not making my question clearer regarding how well the fretless G3 rated compared with similar instruments in the same class. I didn't know whether you still owned the fretless model in the photo. I simply asked how it compared based on the assumption that you would have played it avidly at some point and I was curious to know your thoughts. I too have moved from 4's to 5's but also from fretted to fretless. Personally, I'd always set my sights on a Sei which I thought I'd probably end up buying secondhand from the Bass Gallery. When I saw your Gus Fretless it stopped me in my tracks and got me thinking......πŸ€” I suppose ultimately I'd aspire to a Pentabuzz but could never see me locating/affording a 5 string one. Once again, thank you very much for the photos and information. Very much appreciated πŸ™
  8. Beautiful, stunning collection πŸ˜›πŸ’•You must be very proud. Just out of interest, just how good is the fretless compared to other basses in the same price category/class ?
  9. Thank you πŸ‘ Great looking bass ❀
  10. Love the black fretless bass (photographed lying on a public seat/bench ?). Can you tell me what make/model it is please. I don't recognise it. Looks a very cool instrument 😍
  11. I wrote a very long list to Santa outlining all the basses I wouldn't mind having for Christmas But as expected, I got socks, pants, gloves and a woolly hat 😞 Oh well, try again next year πŸ˜‚
  12. Sorry to hear that Owen πŸ˜• I do hope things work out for you
  13. G&L seems the favourite to date ! πŸ‘
  14. Interesting observations there. And food for thought. Thanks for that.
  15. Happy Boxing Day to all ! Bored with Christmas TV 😴 ? Does anyone out there have any first hand experience comparing these two basses ? If both basses were fretted 5 string, maple fretboard models, regardless of year of manufacture, given the choice, which one would you opt for and why ?
  16. Twisted Christmas by Twisted Sister 2006
  17. I'd put my hand up and confess I couldn't live with it either. If I accepted it, I'd also be forever worried others would feel the same when it was time to sell it on.
  18. You need to be more careful what you write and 'Yes' I'm offended.
  19. Strange question to ask. You're getting a bit personal now.
  20. To be fair Counsellor reckons all bass players are hopeless cases. No idea why she thinks that
  21. I like both the green and the black version, IMO both colours work well, though shame really there isn't more colour choice. We all like to be a little more individual don't we?
  22. This isn't for me. I'm still attending my GAS therapy sessions. My Counsellor reports I'm a hopeless case !πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚
  23. Oh boy, this is a great topic to respond to!😍 Since retiring a few years ago, I've treated myself to quite a few secondhand (and also a few new) basses (plus a couple of guitars too !). The unexpected goodies that these bad boys have turned up with over the years never ceased to surprise me. I can remember: two hard cases, several gig bags (of various quality and condition), numerous straps, leads, and picks, two decent electronic tuners, spare strings, a microphone, a pedal, and even an e-bow (okay, it wasn't working!). Sadly no hidden cash though πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚
  24. You're lucky to have such a good Tech you can turn too. Unfortunately I'm not so lucky where I live. Great Techs are worth their weight in gold πŸ€—πŸ’›
