    Power supply

Wow ! That’s bigger than my whole board it’s self ! Lol (forget to mention it also needs to be portable lol) thanks for the reply though. The maximum 250mA is still no ware close enough to what I need unfortunately but thanks again

    Power supply

I’m currently using a t-Rex junior (5x9v@100ma. Each) it does it’s job. Also under my board is a separate supply for my wireless, and another separate supply for the Compressore (12v @ a huge 600ma) the closest I can find that’s in with a chance of running everything is the Voodoo Lab 4X4 but even that is too short at 12v 400ma. Does a single power brick even exist? Ultimate problem with running tubes on your board
  3. I’ve seen these before and it’s gone straight over me. Will dig deeper thank for reply
  4. Thanks for that. Pretty cool sounding pedal, not quite what I’m looking for though, I’m leaning more towards Distortion I think
  5. Have put it back in its original running order. It’s amazing on how different the drive pedals work by changing the order. Definitely works best this way used it at a small gig last week. I had my Genz-Benz 4x10 with the Orange terror head, Compressore and VT always on, kick the B3K in as and when need and it sounded amazing! Tight focused drive that shook the building. Changing the VT Is definitely just change for the sake of change. Would adding perhaps another drive pedal to put next to the B3k but more distortion based than overdrive be a better route to go. ? 😜😪🤪
  6. I recently brought one a few months back (mini 105Q) I had the full sized version for years then one day decided to upgrade it to the EBS Stanly Clarke. Sold the JD cause why would I ever need it again? Not the best of moves on my part. While the EBS is a great pedal I much prefer the JD so brought the mini while i was at it. It sounds great in my opinion once you get used to the size of it. It might just be my imagination but I’m not 100% convinced it is an exact replica of the full sized version only smaller cause I can’t get the exact same sound I used to get from my original (my original I brought used so don’t know if it had been tampered with) But on a whole it gets my vote
  7. Fair enough I stand corrected. I know the Bongo single H is in a different position, a lot further towards the neck but always thought the double HH was closer to the bridge
  8. The bridge pick up is in a different position on a single H compared to the HH so it’s a complete different sound (you can’t get the single H growl out of a HH basically) still beautiful looking bass good luck with sale. I’m gassing for a SR4HH myself. Just missed two by not having cash ready. Always the way. Got cash no bass. Bass for sale. No cash
  9. Hi, yeah that’s the order that they have spent all there time together in, a good few years. I recently rebuilt the board to accommodate the the addition of the Compressore and decided to try them in this order for a change to see how that works out. I think my logic was, new band, keep the VT set/always on then uses the B3 for boost/extra etc. Ive had the VT longer and tbh never really 100% got on with it that well. Usually keep the speaker sim off
  10. Looking to replace the VT-Bass (#5 in picture) thinking along the lines of possibly the Darkglass Alpha/Omega not to sure what one though, not tried any of them personally. All suggestions welcome. Quite possibly change for the sake of change as the set up I have sounds pretty good but you know how it goes 😜 cheers. Dan

    Shure GLXD16

The screws are countersink so not really possible to use the chain link method unfortunately. I’m totally out of ideas. Apart from making some kind of bracket, bit like the bracket for the power supply, voodoo lab/ pedaltrain etc but thanks for the suggestion

    Shure GLXD16

Hi. Yes I’m very happy with the Shure it does the job seamlessly. Dead easy to use. Initial set up to pair the two units together. Set the gain level and that’s it. The battery in the body pack lasts for ages (battery light displayed on receiver) charges off a micro usb cant fault it apart from the receiver being a awkward shape when it comes to needing a bit more than Velcro to hold it down and Shure not making brackets for it it’s brilliant

    Shure GLXD16

Have messaged Shure asking about a mounting bracket. They don’t do one. Cable ties and Velcro it is
  14. Boss. ODB-3 Have a look on eBay you will find one £20ish second hand

    Shure GLXD16

Hi and hello. I brought one of these a few years back now and am super happy with it. It sits on my pedal board held down with Velcro and cable ties. I’ve recently just revamped my board (cut cables to size, made power leads that now all run from one connection from board etc) in short. Does anyone know of a better way of attaching it to said board? A specific mounting bracket would be ideal but can not find one on line ? Let me know please cheers Dan
  16. Another vote for the MXR Phase 90 its the one i always come back to
  17. Just a random thought but who here uses the effect loop on there amp and if so what do you put through it. I put all mine (in my chosen order, another topic) through the front but is there any advantage to say putting an octave pedal in the loop ? Obviously compression and drives need to go through the front but anything else ? I know guitarists generally use the loop for delays, reverbs etc but what about bass ? Thanks in advance!
  18. I use the Markbass Octaver. Brought it new a few years back. Apparently they are discontinued now ? Brilliant octave pedal. Tracks nice all the way to G, F# on a good day. Does a great job
  19. Bit boring but sticking to what I know. Just ordered a new Compressore. Find something you like why change it for the sake of changing it 😜 cheers
  20. Ok thanks will look them both up. Its for gig use so that was my ?!?! Regarding the tube in the MB but will definitely look into both suggestions
  21. Hi all. As the title says I’m looking for recommendations regarding a new compressor. At the min the compressor I own and uses is the Markbass Compressore (old style version). It’s permanently set up next to my Genz Benz Shuttle (600). Plug bass straight into that set up and it sounds great, I don’t want to move it so either I need a second one to put on my board for when using other effects and different amp head or something new completely?!???? the only reason I’m tempted just to buy a second one is as we all know compression and compressor are a whole subject to themselves and having spent a long while with my Markbass I know my way around it (just missed one on eBay an all) plus they do sound pretty good!!! But be in mind it’s just for live work so maybe having tubes on your board is not the best idea (partly why I moved it to permanently next to amp head in the first place) your sugestions are all welcome (Just please not super complicated stuff, something along the lines of what I already have) cheers and thanks Dan

  24. Thank you TKenrick. That’s the conclusion that I’m coming to. The material is to fast so I’m tripping over myself all the time trying to keep up it’s just hard readjusting my ears to it is thd biggest part of the problem but will give it another go
