1. I have been thinking about getting a cheap bass to keep at work to do the same thing. I think this thread has been a great reminder for me to get my butt in gear
2. Thanks for the invitation Phil, I can't make this weekend due to work commitments. I hope you have a fantastic day I aim to visit in the not too distant future
3. It seams to vary accross the board as some instruments do it and others don't. I play a TRB 6II which does not have the neck dive issue. As a previous poster mentions , maybe trying some lighter tuners on the bass.
4. Wow , Dave that's a great looking bass ! Are you just selling some gear or are you looking for a new toy ?
5. What a beautiful Wal . Fantastic grain Have a bump on me
6. I personally prefer the original finish on fenders. It was very fashionable back in the day to strip em back to a natural finish. I would say that striping the original finish is going to de-value the bass a fair bit especially if the bass was originally a rare colour / model etc.
7. Man ! They've got a groove going on ! I think that sting gets better each time I hear a new clip of his. He never seams to be afraid to mix up his old songs and try something new , timeless .
8. Hi Barrie, You have a very boring un-Awesome bass there And it was not very awesome to chat to you on the phone yesterday about the non-awesome instruments that you have at BassGear Here is a very mediocre non-awesome bump from me

12. Have a bump for a very tasty looking Wal
13. I would recommend putting up some pictures showing details of pots / pickups and neck heel serial numbers and date stamps etc.
14. There is nothing "right" about that video at all

20.
Hi fellow Bchatters, I keep browsing American websites and could cry if i think about getting a bass from there but massive VAT and customs have to put me off all the time when making rough calculations.Even with shipping costs an MTD 535 could be much more cheaper than here for example but all these added costs kill the idea. Has anyone ordered a bass from the US?I'd be happy if you share your experiences with me Cheers
I would be very interested to see how this pans out as i have been looking into doing the same thina as i am looking for an MTD 535. Thinking out loud , Maybe we could club together to maybe save some shiping costs etc ??
21. Cool bass in the pics, Looks like yours Jack I loved duck's bass tone on those cd's
